Stayed here for a total of about 3 weeks whilst in cairns. Loved the place and the staff were amazing. Great location on lake street and just a 5 minute walk into town. The rooms in this hostel are massive, not only do you have a fridge in the room you also have a small lounge area to hang out in each dorm. Small pool located on the other side of the hostel if you want to take a swim and a good bar if you want to hang out and meet some people. Would return again even though a little more expensive per night than other hostels in the area.

“Big rooms, cool pool, awesome staff!!”

Me and three friends stayed here around a month ago and it was amazing, one of the best hostels I've stayed in in Oz, definitely beats the standard Nomads/Base!!

Awesome staff that hang out with all the guests, great swimming pool and the layout means everybody meets in the courtyard at night.

Really nice BIG rooms, clean and not expensive!! Great place to stay :-)

Room Tip: Upgrade from a dorm, it's not very expensive but definitely worth the money!!

“One of my favourite hostels in Australia”

When in Cairns, you should stay at Koalas Beach Resort. It is close to everything, shops, bars and restaurants, everything you need while on holiday. The staff were very helpful with all my questions and recommended some great things to do and see.

The rooms here are wicked! so big and you get your own living area in each room! crazy. Fun vibe, good value and really helpful staff. nothin wrong really! Ill be back fo sho xx

Hey, I stayed in Koala Beach Resort for more than one month and it was just amazing. The stuff is so friendly and the BBQ on Wednesdays and Saturdays I couldn't make better..
The pool is clean and quite, so it's easy to relax in the sun..
If I had a chance to stay longer in this amazing hostel, i would do it definitly..

Greets to Hendrik, Max and all the others.. ;)

Room Tip: all rooms are clean, big and with fridge and couches.. doesn't matter which room..
