“Central location and good value”

Our group of 4 adults rented two apartments side by side, for a family event in Cairns. This was the second time I have stayed at Inn Cairns.
The apartments are not new, but very clean and well presented. Everything we needed was there, including washing machine and dryer in each apartment. Underground parking is provided for no extra charge, a bonus because you need a car in Cairns if you are there for any length of time.
We chose to look out over the street. This was a bit noisy, because the buses leave from that area, but interesting, always something to see. You should choose to look out the back, over the pool and b-b-q area if you need more quiet..
Cheap as chips, and the location meant that we could easily wander around the town. Only 5 mins walk to the Casino and Cairns central shopping mall.
Staff are very friendly, relaxed and helpful. I would definitely stay there again.

Room Tip: You can choose to look out over the pool area, or the street.

Eric and Selwyn are a MUST SEE when you visit Cairns. My mother and i visited this lovely place and what a gem it is.We both loved every minute of it..The apartments are right in the heart of Cairns, close to supermarket for food shopping, chemists, newsagency and ALL the fantastic shopping you could possibly do on one holiday. ROomsare reasonably priced, clean, spacious and comfortable with full kitchen. They are obliging in every way and very helpful with all info on where to go, what to see, what to do and will book everything for you. All you need to to do is unpack, wind down and RELAX.. i will DEFINATELY be back with my husband in June next year.. Looking forward to seeing you again Eric and Selwyn...LEEANN xoxo

Room Tip: Maybe toward the back of the hotel as it is a bit noisy at the front till 10pm

Couldn't have asked for better. Really well looked after with all the information we required, even the newspaper each day. easy walking distance to all tourist areas of the city. Clean and everything you need in your apartment, and so many TV channels. Would highly recommend it great value for money.

“Very central and in the middle of things”

we booked this on a basis of a Rough Guide review. We are glad we did. It was very central, in the middle of Cairns which made eating very convenient and it was only 5 minutes to the front. This did mean one had to put up with a lot of drunken backpackers in the area but what the hell... The manager was very friendly and the room was excellent with 2 provisos. One - the dryer (yes there was an in room washer and dryer) was plumbed in upside down - and therefore didn't work properly. It kept switching off - drying took hours! Two - the water pressure in the shower was appalling - it was a dribble. But for $115 it was good value

“We were so pleased”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 May 2011

We stayed here for a week in april 2011. We found it in the Rough guide. It's right in the heart of Cairns on Lake Street, where the buses radiate from. Opposite is Woolworths, and next door but one is the Calander Girls Gentlemens Club, if you're so inclined. We arrived at 0930 having spent 36 hours on the road from UK, so we were pretty shattered. Eric was in reception. (the taxi can get to within 2 feet of the main door). What a nice guy. The room wasn't quite ready so we dumped our bags and went for a coffee. Picked up some basic groceries and went back an hour later. Eric had taken our bags to the room which was on the first floor as requested. It was actualy a very nice appartement. Bedroom, large Bathroom, with laundry, Full kitchen, lounge diner and terrace. There's a good sized pool with BBQ area at the rear. If you have a car there is a free underground car park. There is a very pleasant roof top terrace with views all round. Because we had booked 5+ nights we got the $115 pn rate, which I thought was good value. Allthough we were in the centre of town we heard no noise whatsoever. Eric and Selwyn were very friendly and helpful with info, and the reception was packed with tourist leaflets. They don't do food but there are plenty of places around for that.

In all a great stay and thouroughly recomended.
