“Best Value in Cairns”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 April 2011

We stayed 5 nights in a one bedroom apartment on the 5th floor fronting lake Street.
Checked in by Eric, very well done, all prepared, air con already turned on. Apartment spotless and contains everything needed for a stay. Cleaning very good. Staff (the family)
always willing and helpful. Location central great. Some noise at night but not unreasonable - but maybe a room off the main street would be quieter.

“You won't find anywhere better in Cairns”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 April 2011

There aen't enought superlatives for Inn Cairns ... At first glance, it looks pretty unprepossessing, but once you step inside the Reception area, it's almost like coming home......

The apartments are clean, spacious and contain everything you need ... Washing machine & separate drier, large bathroom, comfortable beds (with an additional sofa bed, if required), a kitchen (not that we used it), cutlery, crockery, glasses, microwave, hob .... The decor maybe not quite up to the standard of a designer hotel, but that's hardly surprising at the price! Each apartment has it's own small terrace, there are 2 roof terraces, ideal for breakfast or a late glass of wine, in addition to the swimming pool and sun terrace. Also incredibly efficient air conditioning.

Selwyn and Eric (didn't meet Jonathan), the Managers immediately become 'old friends' as soon as you meet them. They're so helpful, they've sorted your problems out, even before you knew you had one! They offer advice as to where to shop (cheaply!), where to by beer & wine, where to eat, where to go and visit.... even whether you need to apply super-strong mozzie spray before you visit ...... If you need a taxi, one seems to appear out of nowhere ..... Nothing is too much trouble for them, but is done in such a friendly, unassuming way, that's is as if they're mates, helping you out!

It doesn't have 5 stars, or hot & cold running room service, but is quite the nicest place that we could have chosen to stay in Cairns.

“Excatly what we needed”

We had 2 nights here after diving the reef.... it allowed us to cook for ourselves, do the laundry etc etc...

Reasonably priced at $125 a night, the staff were friendly enough and even gave you a free washing powder sachet. we asked for an inside room to avoid any noise from the nearby night spots...

“Good Stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 January 2011

We stayed here for one night at New Years.

Heaps of space for your money, impressively clean and well kept, we really enjoyed our stay here. Some of the furnishings are starting to look at little dated, but were very well maintained. The shutter blinds we're great for a bleary morning!

The place is a in a great central location, and it was a little noisy - but I'd say that's probably just because it was New Years Eve. The staff were fabulous - very polite, helpful and accommodating.

“Look no further”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 November 2010

This is a wonderful place to stay; spotlessly clean and an extremely helpful team behind the desk. The apartments even have their own washing machines and dryers. Inn Cairns is right in the centre of town which means you can walk everywhere. The views of the sunsets from the roof gardens were glorious. I'm not sure what else you could need from a hotel.
