We stayed there for three nights. The room was clean and rather spacy, beds very good. From the balcony, which was not spacy at all, we had a view on two trees full of flying foxes (a large bat that eats fruit, no insects), which were rather noisy. The air conditioning did not work when we came, but was repaired within 15 minutes or so after we had reported the problem to the front desk. Because of the rain we did not use the pool. The breakfast was good, although not top class, but perhaps we were spoiled in our previous hotel in Singapore. The dinner got the same verdict. A negative point is the "high-speed" Internet. Firstly is was not very speedy. Secondly, they charge you $ 11 for an hour and $ 24.95 for a day. The tariff was quoted in the hotel guide, which also mentioned that a UTP cable could be borrowed from the front desk. That sounded good, but when we checked our bill we found we had been charged an amount of $ 20 for borrowing the cable, which was not mentioned in the guide. In an average computer shop such cables cost one third of that amount. So don’t forget to bring your own UTP cable if you are willing to pay almost $ 25 a day for your Internet connection.

Thanks for taking the time to post a review on Trip Advisor.
While I am pleased that you liked the spaciousness of our rooms I am sorry that it rained while you were in Cairns. Fortunately it was dry for most days of January so I hope you get nice weather on your next visit.
We appreciate the feedback you provided about our internet facilities. Guests can access free internet for a limited time in the hotel lobby or pay to use internet in their room. Cables can be hired and a cash deposit is refunded when it is returned to Reception. I am glad to confirm that we are currently sourcing a faster more relaible internet service for our guests.
Kind regards
