Situated on the very busy and noisy Bruce Highway, 10 to 15 minutes drive from downtown, don't stay here inless you have a car as the apartments are on the edge of town and adjacent to fast-food outlets, car dealerships etc.
The apartments are very spacious and utterly charmless. Fluorescent lighting in most rooms doesn't help, a few table-lamps would really help. Our kitchen had no oven, just a microwave, so cooking is definitely restricted. There's an electric frypan for those who are desperate for a cooked breakfast.
Beds are comfortable and bathrooms are adequate and fairly clean, although why to these motel owners not realize that a build-up of lime/gunk on a shower head can ruin an otherwise OK experience?
Reception employees/managers were rather edgy. On remarking that the room was noisy, we were told quite bluntly that we were in a city, what did we expect.....that it was budget accommodation and we should have booked better accommodation if we didn't want noise. All probably true, but there are things you should think rather than say, particularly if you are a motel operator. Otherwise, you come across as rude and arrogant.
