Stayed for four nights January 2012
Had a one bedroom ocean view apartment. Great views from balacony.Prime location for watching the bat exodus in the evening.
Wink restaurant has stunning food and service
The pool is not very big so can be a bit crowded. No sun umbrellas either so i wouldn't pick this hotel if you intend to spend loads of time by pool.However for me this was perfect and the public esplanade lagoon is right outside anyway.
Could not get the in house movies on the TV and the airconditioning in the lounge was stuck on 16 degrees.I did not mention to staff however but im sure they would have sorted it if i did bother as they provided superior customer service whenever i went to the desk.
Have marked down the sleep quality as found the bed uncomfortable

Returned from a lovely 4 night stay at the mantra. The hotel was great, lovely clean room, friendly and helpful staff and the location is amazing, right opposite the Esplanade pool. The hotel also has a pool, gym and jacuzzi which is great. Also would recommend the courthouse restaurant and bar within the complex, great food and very reasonably priced.

We stayed in a hotel room for one night before going out on the reef and then 2 nights in an apartment upon returning from the reef and it was great! The location is incredible and you can't ask for a better spot. Our room had a view of the lagoon which was great. We could also see the jetty that we walked to for our GBR trip. In addition we were right by all the great restaurants and shops including the night stalls and Australian Target. The rooms were very clean and well appointed. The washer/dryer were fabulous and the air conditioning worked so well we even got chilly one night and had to turn it down. They kept our suitcase for us the one night that we were on tour on the reef which was quite nice. They do charge for using the safe which just doesn't feel right in this day and age! However the price for the rooms was good. Feel great about booking the Mantra. I would go back in a heartbeat and would tell all my friends to stay here.

Very disappointed for the price payed ( 500dollars for 3 nights!).. The room wasn't very good..
TV programs poor, jacuzzi not working, public Internet service and public PC out of orders, extra charge for room cleaning staff and extra charge for towels change and more and more!
What an hotel!? Few times I reported all the broken things but all the staff keep saying was: Oh, thanks.. I will take care of it!
DON'T EVER CHOOSE THIS MANTRA.. BETTER THE ONE JUST FEW METERS DOWN THE ROAD!
