Rooms clean and comfy and ideal central location convenient for Cairns sightseeing. Also free carparking which is a great advantage with a hire car.
Disappointing then to experience lacklustre customer service. Booked through airline promotion but on arrival staff didnt appear to have any record of booking and not much clue as to how it would be resolved except 'we will find you something'. Promotion included chocs and petrol voucher. Had to ask 4 times for voucher, eventually handed over and chocs never arrived. Dont really mind about either gift but when it was promoted it should be there. Staff indifferent to my feedback.
On departure I was told Manager would contact me - never heard. Have also left feedback on website. Have received a std reply answer welcoming me to stay again - I dont think so.
Such a shame as hotel had so much going for it at reasonable price.

We needed just 1 day accommodation because we had a late Tiger flight at 12.15. It was perfect because it was only $115 on wotif. The room was basic but if you are booked on full day trips it would be sufficient. It was recently renovated. Although the room need to be cleaned better...mainly the bathroom, which is a bit unmaintained. The room is very secure & we felt safe. There was a balcony, tv with movie channel, internet connection & bathroom shampoo/soap/conditioner dispenser. It was a short walk to the main strip & cairns central shopping centre. The staff allowed us to leave our bags at reception before 2pm check in. We checked out late, so put our keys in a box. Although, my friend needed to go back as she had actually missed her flight! After calling Park Regis they had someone meet her there & give her the keys back which was really nice b/c it was nearly midnight.

I stayed at Park Regis during a conference, this hotel was recommended on the conference website.
The rooms are spacious and decently kept. There were a few bugs around, but being at the tropics I think that may be normal. However after 4/5 days I started seeing bugs on my bed, so I asked the reception if they could have a look and change the bed sheets.
Despite being assured that they would have send somebody, nobody actually went there as the bed was untouched, asked again and same story.

On top of this, at the time of check out I was asking for the receipt and told if I could wait a couple of days and they would email that to me. I did not want to raise any issue, and agreed. It has been two weeks and no sign of the receipt or anybody actually replying to my mail.

Finally, I find out that the Park Regis is quite overpriced for its services, and you get much better hotels for the same price.

MMM.. where do i start i guess i just cant go past the part where other guests were able to access our room with their keys which led to a very embrassing experience, for not only me but all parties involved. Im not sure what we paid for there was no security(anyone could of come in an helped themselves to our belongings) or privacy for that matter. we may as well of stayed at a backpackers. Staff did not seem overly concerned with the matter we were told they would pass the issue on the manager and they would phone us.. still waiting. Amongst other things i would NEVER stay here again or recommend it to anyone!
