“Charming accommodation, great value for money”

Stayed 6 nights at the apartment which had a bedroom and a separate kitchen. Lynne was the most wonderful host you could wish for! The place itself was very clean, the kitchen well-equipped and there was a lot of storage space in the apartment. The interior has a lot of character and charm with little touches like flowers, etc. The AC was most useful considering the hot Birsbane weather. The bathroom was spacious, new and clean.

The location is good - 5min walk from Coles supermarket, eateries and restaurants; 10min walk from tain and bus station. We didn't walk to CBD (would have been about a 30min walk), we used taxis which are relatively cheap in Birsbane.

The only negative we found with staying at this place was the street noise coming from traffic. It is certainly not a quiet place but even then we still managed to sleep ok (though opening the windows was out of the question).

All in all, it is a great value for money.

Room Tip: This place has one appartment - great value for money, lots of space, recommended! The other rooms l...

“Lynne - a wonderful host”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 November 2011

We stayed at Eton for nearly a week and could not have asked for more. Lynne, the manager, was so lovely and attentive to all our needs. The B & B was so typically and quaintly English, as was Lynne, who was so welcoming. As a family we stayed in the self-catering apartment at the top of the house and our eldest had one of the guest rooms. Both were so clean and comfortable and the apartment had everything you needed. Nothing was too much trouble for Lynne and Eton is so central you couldn't get much nearer the CBD. Eton is indeed a home from home and by the time we left we felt we had known Lynne for years. Excellent value.

“Best B&B in Brisbane”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 November 2011

Three of us stayed there last night as we had a wedding to attend in Caxton Street. Very convenient location and was really comfortable. Lyn, the Manager, was so lovely and accommodating and our breakfast this morning was lovely.. nothing was too much trouble. I will definitely be returning.

Room Tip: All rooms appeared to be good, but we had upstairs which was really lovely.

“Good choice”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 November 2011

Eton B&B is a good choice if you are looking for a central location close to all services and Southbank in Brisbane. It is clean, comfortable and pleasant. Reminiscent of English B&Bs with a lovely English lady, Lyn as manager, she is terrific.Breakfast is tasty, and fresh.

“Lovely B&B - Fantastic Host”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 August 2011

A great place to stay with attention to detail and service that makes one feel like they are in a guest in a friend's home. Eton is located about 15 minutes walking distance from the CBD. Extremely convenient to the main train station and all of the buses. The Barracks is just across the road for local restaurants and Coles (food market), if needed. It is near all of the Backpacker hotels/hostels, but you wouldn't know it once resting comfortably inside this lovely historic home. I stayed in #1 - queen bed, ensuite, hot water pot and coff/tea in room. The bed was quite comfortable and I found the amenities to be all that i needed. The ensuite is right in the room with a club footed tub/shower and sink. It's a bit odd, but perfectly workable. Lynn and Chris are both friendly and helpful. You are a face with a name at Eton. Terrific value!
