The apartment is centrally located with an easy walk to the CBD and central train station. Inside it was spacious and all amenities were of a good standard. The free undercover and secure parking was great too, as was the pool / spa.
Every night (we were there from Thursday to Sunday) drunken louts walked along Astor Terrace yelling and screaming. We found this strange as there were no late night bars on the street. On our final night, one of the long term residents (ie: someone who lives there permanently) living above us, came home at 4.30am with his mates and decided to carry on with the party - on his balcony. Luckily we were getting up early to catch our flight anyway, but we didn't need our kids woken up earlier than necessary by loud music and screaming idiots.
The internet access available was ridiculously expensive. You either had to pay AU$20 per day from an external wireless provider or use an internet kiosk on the third floor, which cost about AU$4 for 15 minutes use. Get real guys, this is not the Hilton. Either provide free Wi-Fi or have sensible rates. $4-$5 per day for browsing (not downloading movies etc) is a realistic charge.
There is no cable / satellite TV in the rooms (although they do have Freeview).
The managers provided a basic level of service, but certainly didn't go out of their way to welcome you. The fact that they didn't stop the louts on the floor above us on the Saturday night was appalling, as they definitely would have heard them.
I would try another hotel / apartment next time I am in Brisbane.
