I stayed at Annerley twice, mostly because it is close to the competition venue. The first time, October 2008, we ended up in a very small room and with our sports gear and luggage, it was cramped. More recently, we ended up in a large room at the very back of the hotel, a huge improvement to last year. Both times it was quiet, no noise from the other guests nor could we hear traffic noise. In general, the rooms are pretty shabby, but the people at the hotel were always very helpful.

owned by rude chinese women, rooms smelly and old, hot water works only sometimes, every room has something wrong with it, next door had no telephone, she is very greedy for money, she wont tell you you have to check out by 10 am if you stay after that she has a big list of charges.
swimming pool dirty you wouldnt swim in it.

very very noisy motel, it is on the 3rd busiest road in australia and the traffic noise is horrendous, it also caters to the good old country boy types that drink lots of beer on the balconies and are extremely noisy, we checked out after 4 hours due to the noise problems and asked for a full refund but the little asian woman at the desk (we guess she is the operator) refused to give us all our money back and only refunded half of our money. if she had any experience in hotel management then she would have refunded in full. that is a basic approach when a guest has a major complaint and finds themselves in a position that they have to check out because of the problems mentioned above.

Overall a very poor experience that was made worse by the incompetence of the management in not refunding our money in full. We would never ever go back.

Stayed here in March 2006, last minute booking. Privately owned. Friendly helpful staff,very clean rooms, air conditioned with tea/coffee making facilities in room. Veranda with patio furniture outside each room.Pool, BBQ facilities. Parking. Great views over the mountains and the city.
Bus stop into Brisbane 2 mins walk, about 15 mins into Brisbane.
