Well I guess backpackers wouldn't pay around the $100 per night but I think Snooze Inn equates to an upmarket backpacker accommodation. The rooms are very small but clean and have a fridge, TV and free wi-fi. The bathroom is similar to what you would find in a cabin in a caravan park. There is a communal kitchen and a computer for internet available if you don't have a laptop. We only needed the room for a couple of nights and were out most of the day so the smallness of the room did not bother us but if you wanted a room where you could relax and spend some time, I wouldn't recommend Snooze Inn. It's location is very close to everything - train, bus and Brisbane CBD - you could walk if you wanted (about 2 kilometres). The Fortitude Valley area is a vibrant, eclectic area and there are plenty of eateries and cafes.

As a budget hotel this one is OK. Room was clean enough, best part was the free wifi. TV could do with an upgrade. I did not have much to choose from on this trip as hotels within the company budget were all booked out. Would use again if situation were the same next time.

We were looking for somewhere to sleep that was close to the train station and that was what we got. Location is good (if you need a train station or night clubs) other wise I wouldn't bother. Not a nice part of Brisbane. Room is extremely small. If your not looking for anything flash it is fine. I wouldn't pay more than $70 per night for a double room. Service was ok. We didn't speak to anyone. We retrieved our key from the safe when we arrived (we arrived at about 9:30pm and the office was closed) and then left before the office opened in the morning. Would stay again but only if the price was good. Wouldn't stay for more than one night.

Booked a twin room, based on room pictures advertised - and reality bore very little resemblance. The room was tiny, the bathroom so small that you hit your hip on the sink trying to get to the toilet, and black mould in the very narrow shower recess. The hotel is on a very busy road with no parking on the street and no drop off area. I must say the staff were as helpful as could be, but I paid over $140 for one night, in a rather seedy area of Brisbane as it turned out, and think I received $70 worth of value. I won't be returning.
