“OK for a no frills airport stop over.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 February 2012

Arrived after midnight and we got checked in via the automated system with no dramas.

The taxi from the airport terminal was a bit steep at $25

Rooms are small but the air con worked, it was clean and the beds were comfortable.

The automated drinks machines were OK.

We did not have the breakfast so cannot comment.

If you want luxury you will have to pay for it - this cost us Aus $99.00 - so it was OK.

Next morning the reception arranged a bus back to the airport for us - cost was $12, really ggod.

“Suitable for transit travellers”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 January 2012

Located close to the Brisbane Airport, this is a budget hotel that suits transit passengers. It is an economical hotel with tariff being in the region of 100AUD. As is to be expected, the rooms are basic, not luxurious! There is a medium (queen) size bed, with another bunk bed above. There is a flat panel TV with limited channels. The bathroom is small, but serves the purpose for transit travelers. Both the room and the bathroom are tidy and clean. Toiletries are poor quality and I preferred to use my own. There is no traffic noise, but those staying in rooms facing the expressway may need to check this out.

The entrance area has a small breakfast buffet for about 7AUD, but serves only cold fare. There are dispensers for microwavable food and another for drinks. The area also has a couple of internet consoles that one can use with coins.

Malls/shopping is 5 minutes taxi ride towards the airport, but there is almost nothing available nearby in case one needs a snack/meal, since the hotel is in an industrial area. Pizzas and Chinese food an be ordered for delivery at the hotel.

The staff is very courteous. I didn't ask his name, but the male receptionist (there was only one- others were ladies during my stay- was exceptionally helpful!

Room Tip: Check the ones facing the expressway for noise before you finalize.

“Reliable and close to airport”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 November 2011

This is an airport hotel for budget minded travellers which provides safe, reliable and clean rooms. Do not go there with high expectations. Rooms are compact, bed is comfortable and if you are like us, arrived around 6pm, go to one of the excellent local restaurants near the racecourse and then crash and up early for a flight, then its for you. If you want luxery and all the trimmings - don't go there. Towels and linen, TV, aircon and a clock and that's about it. Fair enough for the price. 10 mins drive to aiport.

“Wasn't there for long just a place to stay in between flights”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 October 2011

Got in at 1230 at night and faced an automated check in system that displayed my check in details on a printed paper attached to the machine........ Not safe anyone could have posed as me. This might be funny to some but I've never seen a vending machine sell frozen meals lol. The breakfast menu wasn't available until 7am which I thought was odd. The room was ok although it was annoying that the fairly descent sized window didn't have a curtain and the room was located near a lot of night light that lit the room making it hard to sleep and there was no shower curtain so the whole bathroom and toilet was very wet. The bed was comfy though and the sheets were crisp and pressed which felt good after a tiresome day.

“Bring your earplugs”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 September 2011

Room was small and basic but the bed was comfortable enough. It's designed for three (double bed with a single bunk above it) but don't know how three people plus luggage could fit, it's pretty tight. Room was clean. It's a "wet" bathroom but I've experienced them previously in south-east Asia so it didn't bother me particularly.

Had a problem with the automated check in (I arrived around 11.45pm) but the after hours manager was quick to respond to the intercom and helped me out.

Unfortunately the hotel is located directly under a major overpass so unless you have ear plugs you're unlikely to get any sleep, it's noisy. The room doesn't appear to have been soundproofed at all, this hasn't been an issue at other Formule 1's I've stayed in before close to airports. If I needed a hotel close to the airport again I'd probably look elsewhere.
