My family of four (myself, partner and boys aged 4 and 7) stayed at the Sedgebrook for a week while we did ssome renovations on our house, so for us it was not a holiday. We stayed in a two bedroom villa which was located in the street behind Leichardt Street. The block was only about 5 levels and had included a swimming pool (quite clean and well shaded)
The price for the room (we had room 13 on level 4) was very reasonable compared to other similar places available at the same time. The room was a good size and the balcony was very big for an inner city apartment. We noticed that two out of the three screen doors leading onto the balcony looked like they had been broken into - there were holes in the screens near the lock. That said, the glass doors appeared to be safe and secure.
The room was dated but well equipped with a fairly new tv, clothes washer and dryer and older, but functional kitchen appliances. You could see that this apartment was probably very nice about 20 years ago, but is now a bit tired looking.
We had limited contact with the staff. On check in the staff were helpful. She provided us with two sets of keys and advised us against using their wireless internet - it was cheaper to buy it ourselves than use theirs. On check out I called reception and arranged for someone to meet me in the car park to hand over the keys and let me out so that I could avoid having to find a park on the street and drag the kids up to reception to check out. Reception was happy to do this for me.
Overall for the price we thought it was good value and very spacious for a family of four. It could do with an upgrade, but of course that would increase the price.
