“Great place to stay”

My friend and I stayed at Annie Shandon's Inn in October for 2 nights. The room is small and basic but very clean and cozy. We stayed at basement floor, there is a kitchen on 1st floor and to our surprise, there is another kitchen on basement as well. The utensils in the kitchen were very clean, to our delight. We did our best to keep the place clean as well.

The staffs were friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was basic, cereal, milk, and bread. They had wholemeal bread which is a healthier choice but I wish they had that AND white bread for us to choose.

Last but not least, location, excellent, just minutes away from central stations.

My friend and I love the place and totally enjoyed our stay.

“Lovely place, feel like at the Grandma's house”

Annie's Inn is a lovely place, with a lovely and dedicated staff. We arrived earlier, and our room was not ready, but we could let our luggage and take breakfast with the other guests. The staff is of older people, and they are so cute preparing the breakfast, talking about how was our day, making everything to make us feel comfortable, and giving hints about the city. The day we were leaving, we got lost in the city trying to pick up a rented car, and I called the B&B to tell them that we were going to arrive late to leave the room. The staff was so cute saying: "Don't worry, we can clean your room after the others. Take care in the traffic, and don't rush, don't worry about geting here on time to check-out". I think small things like these can make difference when we are away from home.
The rooms are very simple, we got a ensuite downstairs. Comfortable bed and good shower. There's a small kitchen with tea/coffee facilities and a TV room shared with other guests (4 or 5 rooms). But everything was fine in the share area, it's a family place (no backpackers and people disturbing). This B&B is very well located: 2 blocks from the Central Station, and you can go walking to the CBD and Botanical Gardens. It's also 2 blocks from a station of the City Cycle, where you can get hire a bike to explore the city.

“Cosy B&B, good value for money”

I stayed 2 nights at Annie's in December 2010 and was very happy with my stay. It' not a luxury hotel but rather a charming, old-fashioned bed and breakfast with a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. The location is very good - the CBD, riverside and the train station are within a walking distance. Our booking, checking in etc. were handled well and the staff was friendly. The breakfast was simple: coffee, toast, jam, vegemite! and cereal, but it was good enough for us, and the breakfast room and terrace were cosy. The building is relatively old so of course the rooms were a bit worn out and small. In my opinion it was good value for money: I could stay there again and recommend to someone who is looking for an affordable accommodation with a central location.

“Nice B and B”

Enjoyed our stay here. The room is nice and quaint. The only downside was the large gap above the door (part of the room design, not an accident), which meant that light (and noise) from the corridor comes into the room. When we stayed the only noise was slight snoring from a room several doors down, and the corridor wasn't too bright - but I do much prefer properly enclosed rooms.
The breakfast was very nicely presented though very basic (toast and cereal). Reasonably good location a 10 minute walk from the town centre.

“Charming and Affordable”

Staying here for 1 night with husband and friends. My emails were responded promptly and informative -within 1 day . There's a ATM nearby . And its only 10-15min walking distance to central ,mall, shops . also 15 min walking distance to the train station. Room is very clean, they provide towels and soap . Breakfast is basic but its just sufficient for us . Decoration is sweet and charming . Our room was upstairs , and we shared bathroom / toilet with other guest (separate female and male common bathroom . It's clean with hot water. Couldn't ask for more for that such affordable price. Our trip was on budget but the satisfied experience is as same as when we stay in hotel .

Room Tip: You can bring your own bottle waters. They provide in the room, but only 1 bottle. Specially if your...
