“Cant believe this place is running in Australia...”

The worst place i have ever stayed, compared to 3rd world hotels it was worse. The room was a box, the floor was sinking and not level. A sewer pipe ran out of the wall and into the floor under the bed. The bed was old and very ratty i brought new sheets just to sleep on. The tv on the celling was mounted with a rope not very safe at all. The milk in the fridge was either frozen or very old. The rooms are not sound proof as i could easily here the couple upstairs, im suprised the roof didnt collapse (it was mouldy) We were over charged and still had to pay for parking which was outdoors and not secure in the valley. One of the staff members said not to swim in the spa as there was a party in it the week b4 and it hadnt been cleaned, it was filthy and there were other guest that were not aware of this that we swimming in it. Discusting.

“Dont stay here!”

The room was grubby and smelly and the out door area smelt of urine.
It is a noisy location and I felt unsafe.
I checked out as soon as I found another room in a different hotel.

“Do not stay at this motel”

On arrival the man at reception was obviously having a phone conversation with someone who wanted a refund. Given room key and directions to get there - took us about 10 mins to find out where it was. The room was disgusting - very small - bed pushed up against the wall. Broken air conditioning. Very small walled in courtyard which was filthy. Went and complained and was offered another room which was roomier. Do not come here if you are a non smoker. The reception area reeks of cigarette smoke as the occupant/s are obviously smokers.

“Spot of tranquility in the middle of brisbane”

My boyfriend and i were returning home to barcelona after 1 month of being driving thru the country we wanted to stay 3 days resting before the long flight home. We did the booking online and paid in advance for a budget room. As soon as we got there, the recepcionist, a very nice asian guy told us we could have an upgrade to a better room for the same price. We got a great room full equiped with balcony, and the staff was very friendly, warm and helpful

“You get what you pay for!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 April 2010

I have actually stayed in better backpacker hotel than this was, even thought it was budget and with own bathroom and small kitchen (m'wave and 2 element stove top etc). The fridge made noise all night and the first night the air-con didn't work at all and with no open-able window i was suffocating. The next day the guy at the office said he would look at the air-con and when i came back (i was visiting my daughter in the burns unit of the hospital so i was gone all day) around 10pm the air-con was pumping out very hot air so the room was like a sauna. I eventually got it to pump less hot air but could not turn it off. The third night was probably the best as i was most tired from not getting much sleep the previous 2 nights from heat, noise and the really uncomfortable bed that moved all over the place on the tile floor and from spending several days with my daughter having surgery and being in distress. I really could have done without the issues at the motel. It also advertised as having free wifi internet but i could not locate the signal till the morning of checking out, the signal was too weak it would seem.
On checking out i told the office guy that i was not happy as the air-con was hot not cold and the fridge was noisy and he just said he would close the room for that day and have it maintenanced.
While it did serve the purpose of 3 days near the hospital on the cheap (around $200) i would expect an air-conditioned room to have air-con that works properly or do not advertise it as air-conditioned. It was clean and tidy but in need of a lot of maintenance.
