I stayed at The Point in August for a conference and found it very convenient. Bus shuttle to the city made it easy to get to my meetings.

City views from my room were spectacular. Service was first class: staff could not have been more helpful, courteous and attentive. They informed me of tourist activities such as Storey Bridge climb which I couldn't do as I was there on business but they were not pushy, just informative.

Had a meal in the restaurant and didn't have to pay for my beer - free with the meal!

They have all the usual you would expect in a city hotel, internet access, free movies, foxtel etc - but also a pool and gym.

I was surprised when I saw their meeting rooms which were great - I don't know why my conference wasn't held there instead of in the city with restricted parking etc.

This is a great hotel with easy access and warm, friendly, professional service.

The Point hotel is under-rated for its quality. We stayed for 2 nights and paid $99 each night so when we booked for it, we didn't really expect much based on the price we paid.

The reception was quite small but the service was pretty good. We were given the superior room facing the bridge. The room was clean and tidy. The bed was comfortable, and you can also order different types of pillows to suit your need (free of charge
). Downstairs you can use the washing machine and dryer to do your own laundry for free. Also, they had a small swimming pool and small multi-function gym. There was also a secure underground carpark where we parked for no additional charge.

The location of this hotel is quite convenient. It's within 5 minutes driving to the CBD and the main shopping centre in the city. It is also located within 10 minutes walking distance to the ferry, which can take you straight to the city.

For its price it is well worth it. I would absolutely stay in this hotel next time we visit Brisbane.

The Pointe in Brisbane, Australia is a very nice hotel. It is only minutes away from a ferry dock/stop that gives you access to the rest of the city. We stayed in adjoining rooms/suite with friends and had our own laundry facilities and mini-kitchen. We were especially pleased with the courteous staff, the drivers of the complementary van shuttle service in particular. They couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel and in this delightful city!
