What a great veiw! we had a great time here, staff were realy friendly. Although we did get stuck in the lift for 30 minutes. Great central location it only took a few minutes to walk into the CBD. Highly recomended, we will be back!

I stayed at the Mantra on Queen November 30th, to say I was dissapointed would be an understatement! The room I stayed in was filthy, the bathroom was full of dust and the tiles needed a very good scrub! The dining table hadn't been wiped down properly from the last guest and the stove needed to be cleaned before I could use it as there was signs of uncleaned spillage there. When I opened the cupboards the dishes were not clean to any decent standard and the toaster had vegemite fingerprints on it so obvoiusly was not wiped down. Booking a nice hotel was meant to be the highlight of my trip, not a dissapointment. Very comfortable bed though and convenient shopping

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights just recently,
On arrival like anyone would do when they get to there room is to check the cleaning standard of the room, i thought the standard of the cleaning was absolutely disgusting i actually dont even think the room was cleaned the day we arrived, We found dust in and around the bath, on the toilet around the toilet and on the bathroom tiles, on the bathroom floor, the dust on the bathroom mirror was thick with dust to the point where i left a note to say please clean it ,
In the cupboard under the kitchen sink : the bowls, plates, cups, had dust on them, we ended up going to the front desk and letting them know about this, the housekeeper had gone home so 1 of the receptionist came up and gave it a quick clean over which i didnt think was fair on her behalf because its not her job
The next day the cleaner was supposed to do a full clean of the place but the dust was still in some of the areas we mentioned to the receptionist the day before, we didnt even get an apology from the housekeeping supervisor as the standard of the motel is supposed to be a 4 1/2 star hotel, 1 more thing to top it off : We got 2 single beds put together as a king size bed so where they joined in the middle it was very uncomfortable, very disappointing stay

Stayed here for NYE and when booking online requested a high floor with a great view, expecting not to get that due to high demand etc I was amazed to be told I had been given the best room in the hotel, which turned out to be a top floor one bedroom apartment with a massive deck and river views!

The room itself if your standard hotel type room, only bigger of course. It was clean, comfortable and quiet. Location wise its about a 10 minute walk to the valley or Eagle Street, right next to a supermarket and bottle shop and not far from the river. Staff were very friendly, never had to wait long for an elevator and there were no issues with the room.

Definitely somewhere to stay if you're planning a night out or staying in town for a few days.
