We have stayed in many Sofitel's, within Australia and overseas and this is the second time at the Brisbane location. I booked the Sofitel Brisbane for an early Valentine's night & upgraded to Club Sofitel, looking forward to the room upgrade and extras. All of the staff were lovely but unfortunately the room was just as disappointing as our last stay without the "upgrade". It's not that it wasn't clean or didn't have those little extras like mini l'occitane toiletries, it just didn't have that wow factor a 5 star hotel should. The canapes and drink at the Club Lounge were fantastic but the breakfast was terrible. If I had of known I was going to be eating cold tasteless eggs and bacon at the Club Lounge I wouldn't have "upgraded" and we could have had breakfast at the actual buffet downstairs at Thyme. I actually worked for Accor for over 4 years and trust their brand but if Sofitel wants to charge 5 star rates I hope to see them keep up with the new and evolving luxury hotels.

You will be delighted to learn that we will be undergoing a renovation this year to transform our current rooms to a chic, inspirint feel and look. I am sure you will find these changes Magnifique.
I was disappointed to learn that your Club Lounge breakfast did not live up to expectations. I will follow this up with our Executive Chef who I am sure will resolve this issue in a timely manner. Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention.
