This definitely didn't feel like a 4.5 star hotel. Let's start small: the entrance, on the Queen street mall is a bit hard to find, and the lobby could definitely use an update. The in-room safe was broken, the shower doesn't have a door, just a curtain, and is quite small. The bed was a bit old, and not terribly comfortable, same with the pillows. The room smelled a bit like mildew.
The entrance on the mall means that it's hard to unload suitcases if you're driving, and that no matter how you arrive, you have to lug your stuff a bit before you get to the hotel.
Service was fine, but nothing great. The real kicker was the elevators were out. As in totally broken, as in, walking up to the 12th floor. I'm glad we checked in while ONE was working, but wait times were up to 15 minutes. The hotel did nothing to compensate us for the inconvenience, not even a free drink, and really barely an apology. When we chose to walk down the stairs after waiting 15 minutes, a staff member chastised us for doing so.
All in all, not worth the price.
