On a short visit to the city, I found this hotel to be friendly and quite decent – both in price and value for money.
We arrived early and were offered an upgrade room for an extra $20 which was available – we took it. Room was large and had all we really needed.
Walk to the city was 10 or so minutes (coming back it’s a little uphill – to work off the snacks you at in the city). Its across the road from a great Park (Roma Park) and also close to the Roma Park rail station.
We went on a 4 day Barrier trip so left early, did not eat at the location and left our luggage at the hotel – which was a huge win. All was safe when we retuned – not that we did not think it would not be.
All in, we felt it was a good place to stay.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and were impressed with the size of the room and particularly the bed in the executive room (king size). The only downside to this hotel might be location. Whilst it was close to the cbd it was still a 10-15 min walk to the centre and Brisbanes public transport isn't particularly great, or inexpensive. There is a free bus that runs mon-fri but since we were staying fri-mon we only got to use it once, the rest of the weekend involved walking.
However I would recommend the hotel if you can cope with a bit of a walk or are happy to pay taxi fares or drive to places. The staff were also very friendly and knowledgable.

Contemporary styling to rooms. Staff displayed perfect manners. Good food in the restaurant.

Stayed for a few days in September to break up a long trip. Found the bedrooms to be good, and in great condition. Comfy beds, though they were not serviced for the duration of my stay. I did not mind, but looking back some fresh towels would have been good.

Did not use the food facilities so can't really comment. I did stop in to look at breakfast, and asked if the had an a la carte menu. Only buffet available, and i looked at what was on offer and did not think it matched the price tag.

Great access to the park and garden areas, and not too long a walk to the city. Reception could do with a bit of a make over.

Only ever encountered friendly staff, in saying that i only spoke to a receptionist and a waiter. Still, they were all smiles!
