“A Great Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 February 2012

We stayed here on the 26th floor Executive level, whay a great time we had the housekeeping could not do any more for you, the views are excellent and the executive lounge just the added touch where you can go and have a snack late in the afternoon and a drink and after being out for dinner you can drop in for a nightcap. Breakfast is served here in the morning but we dined down stairs in the restaurant which was a good selection to choose from. This is a hotel you should consider staying at next time in Brisbane.

Room Tip: River view room

“Nice hotel along the river”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 February 2012

we stayed in this hotel for one night and we had a rainy day so walking to the cbd was not an option. it's a bit far from to cbd but very close to the river and the those high-end restaurants.
the hotel room was clean and tidy but nothing spectacular about it.
give it a 4 star as we loved the buffet breakfast.

P.S. the pillow were way to soft my husband and i had a neck pain the next day.

“perfect luxury break”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 February 2012

we stayed for two nights for a mini romantic break

good: location to city and valley, easy to find, staff are welcoming, helpful and a quick check in, room was gorgeous, large and furnished wonderfully, massive king bed, lounge, table, chair, desk, tv, tea/coffee facilities, bathroom was large with wonderful bath and large double sink. tv great. room service was quick and good quality. breakfast in room was massive and wonderful value. Got a bargain by booking the morning of our mini break. about $150 per night including full breakky,

not so good: can't think of anything.

“Great location with views of the city & river.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 February 2012

Although I stay for business, I would bring back my family. After staying here regulary for the past three months, I have always found the front office and restaurant staff to be very efficient and courteous.

The gym has just been upgraded, which followed the refurbishment of the restaurant in 2011. If feeling energetic in the morning (i.e. if you left the blinds open and couldn't stay asleep), the path along the Brisbane River is a favourite spot for joggers & walkers.

The river path also offers a quick 15 minute walk to Eagle Street Pier with its numerous cafes & restaurants.

Room Tip: River View rooms have good views of the Brisbane River.

“Nice hotel only a few minutes walk to city centre”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 February 2012

My husband & I enjoyed a lovely overnight stay preceding a business trip. Luckily for us our friendly Hertz consultant let us know before we set off for the Marriott that the valet parking is actually located off Howard Street which is around the back of the hotel and not on Queen St as we had originally assumed. Unfortunately the valet attendant had just driven off as we pulled up and so we missed out on the warm and welcoming concierge treatment we were expecting and made our own way in (disappointing for a 5 star hotel). From there it's a lift up to the foyer and the check-in counters. The service at reception was fast and friendly and all our booking requests had been met.

We stayed in a basic guest room and it was tastefully furnished with a beautiful marble bathroom and lots of storage space. As always...awesome Marriott beds - simply heaven!

The pool looks sensational on the website and so we paid it a visit. We spent about 20 minutes doing the 'oh my gosh it's so cold, I think I'll go in real slow dance'. I got in about half way and then called it quits as it wasn't exactly my idea of a heated pool. Luckily the spa was blissfully hot so after roasting away in there for a bit I felt brave enough to re-enter the pool in the 'close your eyes and jump' fashion :) It's worthwhile noting that the spa jets only stayed on for around 10 minutes at a time (even though it says 20 minutes on a sign) and that made it a bit annoying to have to keep getting out to hit the button. The poolside menu didn't have the smaller fares like coffee and cake which would have been lovely to enjoy on the balcony but we didn't ask so I can't complain too much about that. The pool area is surrounding by awesome bi-fold style windows that open up to make it an undercover outdoor pool during the day and an indoor pool at night and was a really lovely design.

The foyer lounge, between the Motion restaurant and the Queen St entrance, was a great place to sit and have coffee, it had such a nice classy feel to it. We had dinner at the Motion restaurant but didn't rate it that highly. The menu is on their website so it's worthwhile checking out before you go there. Breakfast however, was excellent in true Marriott style with plenty of variety and the chill wall is a very 'cool' feature :)

Brisbane's Queen St mall is only a short walk away (and I'm not usually one for leaving the car behind). I wish we had a mall area like this in Melbourne, so many shops (from Chanel to RM Williams) and lots of cafes to sit and relax in while enjoying the humidity.

We usually stay at the Surfers Paradise Marriott which ticks all the boxes for us for our family trips. The Brisbane Marriott was good overall but not excellent, we wouldn't revisit it for a family stay but we'd definitely stay there if in the area again on business purely for the convenient location.
