This was our first stay at the Oaks Casino Towers, but it won't be our last! We travel to Brisbane once or twice a year just for a short break. We had such a pleasant stay even though the weather over the weekend was pretty dreary. Our experience at the Oaks started well with a very helpful and pleasant reception - the reception clerk, Sharon, kindly gave us an upgrade to a roomy 2 bedroom apartment with a river view, when my husband let her know it was my birthday the next day. The check in was quick and seamless.

We found our apartment to be clean, well furnished and well equipped with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, laundry and full kitchen equipment including full size fridge, microwave, gas stove, dishwasher and plenty of cutlery and crockery. The lounge included a large flatscreen tv with foxtel and a dvd player. One of the bedrooms also had a small wall mounted TV with free to air channels, and the other bedroom had a walk in robe. There was also an alcove with an office desk and a good size balcony with an outside table and 4 chairs - we had a pleasant lunch out here with views looking over the river to Southbank. The beds were very comfortable and there were plenty of spare blankets, pillows if you needed them. The apartments are very well located for easy walking to the Queen Street Mall, the Casino, over the bridge to Southbank and only a block walk to many restaurants and cafes. All in all, a pleasant experience - will definitely stay here again. And special thanks to Sharon for her assistance and friendly professional manner.

My partner and I stayed here for 1 night in January 2012. The 1 bedroom apartment overlooked the river and the city and the views were amazing. The room was spacious, clean and well appointed. with a very comfortable bed. This is a great location for shopping, casino and restaurants. The reception staff were welcoming, very helpful and friendly throughout our stay. We enjoyed our stay here and would recommend. I was a little hesitant when I read previous reviews but we had absolutely no complaints. Would gladly stay again.

We stayed for only one night in a two bedroom apartment. We arrived early but were advised room not ready and to come back at 2pm which is check in time. The room was still not ready so we returned at 2.30pm. On reaching our room on level 7 we received a phone call to come back to reception as we were being moved up to floor 16. We were confused but grateful as we would have been right next to the airconditioning fans on the building next door in the first room. The main bedroom door was locked but this was quickly sorted out. The living area was spacious and the balcony was great. The bedrooms were very small but the bed was extremely comfortable. The picture quality on the TV was terrible. However, the mould in both of the shower recesses was disgusting and totally unacceptable. It amazed me that they have someone in charge of housekeeping to inspect the cleaners work and they think this is ok. The staff at reception are very friendly which put me off complaining on check out. I won't be back.

Stayed here early January in a two bedroom apartment. As far as apartments go it was comforable and well equipped, and is really well located. Great balcony views. The thing that really lets this place down is the filth in the room (it was tidy but certainly not clean). There was so much mould in the ensuite shower that I couldn't use it, it looked and smelled really bad. I don't think it has seen a brush or some bleach in months...very poor for anyone prown to problems with mould. A more minor cleaning problem was the stained coffee cups. Either clean them properly or replace them, its that simple. This could be a nice property if the cleaning was managed properly. I may have been unlucky to get the only room that was not clean, but nevertheless I won't be returning. Oh and I agree with previous reviews regarding the tiny TV in the main bedroom, it is a waste of time.
