New Friend BB is in the small village of Horseshoe Bay on the north of Magnetic Island.
Our room was excellent with doors opening on to a small patio with garden beyond. The BB had a lovely swimming pool which was great to relax in at the start and finish of (the very hot) days.
Breakfasts really set us up for the day. Unforgetable, was opening the doors in the morning to be greeted by a bush covered with Lorikeets.
The owners were a fount of local information.

A short walk brought you to the beautiful Horseshoe Bay beach which is about 2K in length. We walked to the far end and had the beach to ourselves. The village has several restaurants.
There are numerous other beautiful bays, including Balding, Rocky and Radical Bays.
There is a regular bus service across the island linking with the ferry terminal at Nelly Bay.

We stayed at the New Friends B&B after arriving on the island and just asking a person in a shop for a good B&B in the area. This place was excelllent apart from one other guest, myself and my boyfriend were the only people staying. The couple who own the place were very friendly and professional. They have a small pool which we had to ourselves. The only thing that I wouldn't have liked if the B&B had been full was that we would of had to share a bathroom with other guests. The bathroom had two doors leading off to two different rooms which I wouldn't have liked as I think it would of been very embarrassing if you forgot to lock both doors! We had a great stay the room and bathroom was spotless and we really enjoyed our stay and we recommend it you anyone. If we are ever lucky enought to return to Magnetic Island we will definatley being staying here again!!
