Have not been to Darwin in 30 years. "Sunrise TV show" advertised accom special with Accor hotels so we booked 3 nights. Would have left the first night, when we walked in to the lobby what an eye sore, neglected plants & service average. As we were up on the higher levels you could see the plants in the atrium had been neglected and looked extremely dusty and dirty.
Got to the room to find it had a bad smell. View from the room was great. We turned on the Air con and found it poured water onto the rotting carpet near the window. I called to reception to fix problem, They said it was normal for the room to have a smell due to high humidity, in the dry season? I was repaired about an hour later.
Room furnishings poor, the lounge had a badly ripped cover so I turned it over to reveal even less material left on the seat cushion. The toilet flushed constantly for most of the night as it was faulty. Beds good to sleep on but for the toilet noise.
Decided to go for a swim in the pool it was shaded and noisey due to the new 12? multistory construction going on next door.
No mention of construction going on next door any where on the web site when booking.
We are frequent travellers locally & O/S but this is the worst place we have stayed at even with the discounted special rate.
Room Tip: Make sure you have an ocean view and away from the construction site next door.

I have pass the message on to our Maintenance and Housekeeping team to follow up. Please rest assured that we are taking the appropriate measures to address the problem and prevent future occurrence.
In terms of the product, the hotel has had a recent approval for a refurbishment program which is due to complete over the two months. This will includes a complete renovation and painting of our guest rooms, new furniture, bathroom, and up to date equipments.
