We enjoyed the size of the apartment and the fact that it was split over three floors as it gave a degree of separation for our family group (3 separate couples).
The kitchen was great and gave us another option for evening meals, and it was useful that we could use the facilities in the other parts of the resort, including the pools.
The only downside was that the cleaning staff had to be reminded a couple of times before they got around to cleaning the apartment but this was only a minor issue.

Some previous reviews were very helpful. Check in at Dessert Sands Hotel, Porters were great getting all out luggage to and from our apartment. Facilities in the resort made for a fun family holiday. Pools and activities for kids in-between walks in the national park. Ate at the cook your own BBQ, kids loved it. Supermarket was well priced considering location. Apartment serviced promptly each morning and had all the necessary items to make a family stay enjoyable. Overall we had a great time and enjoyed our stay.

After reading some reviews before our trip I was concerned about this accommodation. Imagine my surprise when I found it to be a lovely 2 bedroom, multi-level unit that was clean, spacious and looking so fresh. The kitchen facilities were great and we ate in a few times. The grocery store was close by and the prices were also surprisingly reasonable. It is a walk from the reception area but was not too far and posed no problem for us. As well we were offered to have our luggage delivered by the very kind staff - but we declined. The whole area was great and everything so close. These accommodations were our childrens favorite out of our four week holiday. We stayed two nights in December 2011. Would definitely recommend this for families or two couples traveling together.

All accommodation in Uluru is overpriced. The room here was spacious do ghat was a plus and they did find us a new room when we complained that our original one smelled of rotten fish.
Very small bathroom for the size of the apt.
Ok place to stay until I woke up in a bed full of tiny ants. That was an early morning wake up call I could have lived without.
Overall the place was ok but in need of an update, overhaul and bug spray.
