Each night we had to remove about twenty roaches and lizards from the room. Also miles away from anything. Tavern was good though.

Not a great place to stay. Grubby rundown room. A/c didn't work and then ineffectual and falling apart in the second room. Kitchenette a joke as little provided. I didn't expect 5 star but did expect things to be clean and functioning

When confronted with a choice of $80 a night and $200 at a place I have stayed at other times I decided to give the Outback Resort a go and to be honest it was quite OK. The cheesy country music at dinner was cheesy. But all in all, value for money, it was fine. Beware of the ranges that block your wireless internet connection!

Keep in mind this is a motel and not a 5 star hotel. The room was clean and big - (queen with a twin). The bathroom is small but met our needs. We did have a lizard and what I assume are jumping crickets in our room but they did not bother me and just added to the experience of our stay. The only thing I did not like is that you have to use your room key to turn on the lights and air-conditioner. When it is hot out I prefer to walk into a cool room. The staff was friendly. I would recommend you have a car if you stay there. We loved feeding the rock wallabies.
