“Has Potential -Needs Someone Who Cares”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 January 2012

We visited in middle of summer (off season for this town). Room was very cheap as we got on a mystery deal. We were told we had 'an upgrade' which I am not sure we actually got. The room was very tired and in need of a refurbishment. To be fair some rooms in another block were being given a makeover while we were there.

Whilst you can’t always expect all rooms to be fresh and new all the time, the establishment did not help itself in making the place ‘nice and pretty’. As an example our air cond was struggling to keep us cool. I removed and washed the filters coated with a very thick layer of grim. After this A/C worked fine. There was a bag of rubblish and some dirty linen piled in a corner of the common walkway at the block. These we there when we arrived and there when we left. This was despite staff at the business walking past it many times while we were there.

Pillows were hard and uncomfortable. Otherwise pools were clean, gardens tidy despite looking very tired and bar and restaurant looked clean and serviceable.

Room Tip: Check teh air conditioner is up to it first.

Dear Peter W:

Thank you for posting your feedback from your recent stay with us at the all seasons Alice Springs Oasis.

I am disappointed that you took away this experience. As you mentioned, we are in the process in upgrading certain areas of the hotel, on an on-going year-by-year basis, which demonstrates that myself and my team care for the property and do what we can to make all guest stay’s as comfortable as possible.

The bag of rubbish and the linen in the tub are present in the same spot each day as this is our Housekeeping Team servicing the rooms within the varying blocks.

I certainly thank you for your comments regarding the cleanliness of our pools, gardens and restaurant & bar areas.

Please rest assured that I will act on your feedback to ensure that a reoccurrence is prevented.

Warm regards,
All Seasons Oasis - General Manager

“Oasis Springs Alice”

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights as a stopover for the Uluru trip. It seemed very end of season with not many staff. On the return night we were given a room which was dirty and which had stained sheets. We complained and it was changed instantly. The replacement room was fine. The rooms were big with good facilities-tv, minibar, radio alarm, balcony. 2 pools. I had very good lamb at the restaurant. On the whole it represented good value but I believe they were short of staff whichmay have accounted for the shortfall

“Christmas Night 25 Dec 2011”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 December 2011

We went to stay at the Oasis All Seasons Hotel and to have a pleasureable and quiet Christmas. Christmas lunch @ $115 per person was wonderful as was the service. Our dinner was a light one, and we headed off to bed about 10.30 pm. This was disappointing. We thought we had booked a delux room @ $90 but the airconditioner wasn't working and the reception had closed for the night. We were very uncomfortable as it was 38 degrees celcius during the day and into the night. Alice Springs is extremely hot from Octber to March and over the Christmas season and Nw year. So these airconditioners should be working for the patrons. As it was because we live in Alice Springs and just wanted a trouble free Christmas we came home to our own airconditioned bedroom to sleep. I don't know what we would have done if we didn't live here. When we brought this to reception's notice, the next morning, all they said was was"thank you for letting us know" there was no apology, or any monies taken off our room account. The rooms are so small that when there is no coolness in the room it is like sweatin in a dog box. So we are sorry to say that our stay in the Oasis All Seasons' room on the 25th December 2011 was the the most uncomfortable one that we have ever stayed in and we would not recommend this hotel to our relatives or friends to stay there., unless the rooms' irconditioners are all maintained to be working properly at all times.

Dear Accorhotels.com traveler:

Thank you for your feedback regarding your stay with us on the 25th December 2011.

Firstly may I thank you for your kind words on the quality of the Christmas Luncheon and the level of service received; I will be sure to communicate this to the Food & Beverage Team. I also thank you for your feedback on the cleanliness of the room and hotel.

I do apologize that you experienced problems with your air conditioner; whilst our Reception closed at 10:00pm we have on call after-hours an on-site Manager. Within your room is an in-room compendium which states for after-hours service to call Reception which will then be diverted to the On-Call Manager. This person may have had the opportunity to trouble shoot your issue and assisted you both in a comfortable night.

We actually do not have a Deluxe room type, however our Standard rooms are all 24.5 square meters and our Superior rooms 30.3 square meters, not including the balconies that come with all rooms. This is certainly within the range for a 3 1/2 star rated hotel.

Thank you once again for your feedback.

Warm regards,
All Seasons Oasis - General Manager

“Not so great”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 December 2011

We stayed during a very hot week in December. The pool and bar were nice. And most of the staff were too.

However, the room had not been stayed in for awhile and was very hot (over 38C) when we checked in. The air conditioner was completely inadequate and unable to cool the room off. By early morning each day the room was cool enough to be comfortable, but there is no power during the day while we were out seeing sites, so we would return to a scortching hot room with inadequate a/c every afternoon. The phone in the room was dead. Since we were trying to arrange trips and reservations, we needed the phone. The hotel promise to fix it every day for 4 days. They never did and a couple of employees eventually turned rude toward my spouse who was hoping each day to be able to use the phone.

Dear Accorhotels.com Traveler:

Thank you for placing your comments onto Trip Advisor.

Firstly thank you for your comments regarding our pools, bar and friendliness of our staff.

I do apologize that your rooms was not pre-cooled for your arrival, which is a process we undertake to assist in guest comfort. We do provide you with a tag that is inserted into the slot provided to turn-on your electricity and air conditioner, however to do so you need to remove the tag from your key ring and then you can leave your air conditioner running. I do apologize that this was not explained to you at the time.

There is certainly no excuse for your request not to have been met regarding the telephone. I will ensure that the communication between Reception and Maintenance is enforced and strengthened to avoid this from happening again.

Thank you for your feedback.

Warm regards,
All Seasons Oasis - General Manager

“evaluation”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 December 2011

the hotel should market itself as a backpackers and workplace accomodation because it appeared to me that these were the groups that were being accomodated.
one person on the counter to check in in the afternoon was not satisfactory, having to ask to be changed as the room was not as I booked (paid for the extra bed not to have one). Not to receive an answer when trying to contact the reception was also not satisfactory (apparently the girl had gone to the bathroom!).
This dinner was pleasant however only one person to serve both the bar and the restaurant was also poor.
this is the second time I have stayed in one of your NT hotels and they are really poor quality. They are worn out looking and not well stocked as I ran out of toilet paper and couldnt get an answer from housekeeping in the evening. The bathroom was clean looking however, judging by the wornout linen I would wonder if they were clean.
Poor effort, having me join your ACCOR group only to find poor quality and service. Not staying in them again in the NT.......

Dear Accorhotels.com Traveler:

Thank you for posting your comments onto TripAdvisor regarding your recent stay at the all seasons Alice Springs Oasis.

I am truly disappointed that you did not fully enjoy your stay with us. It is true that we appeal to the markets mentioned by you as we are a 3 1/2 star economy hotel however the shortfalls in service should not be compromised so for this I do apologise.

It is great to hear that dinner was pleasant and t hat the rooms were clean.

I will be sure to communicate to the relevant managers your feedback so that alternate procedures are put in place so that guests are not inconvenienced similar to what you were.

Warm regards,
