When we checked in, we were charged 100$ as holding deposit, which is fine, but they never release it even after 2 weeks. When I call up, they say that there are no other charges and everything is fine with the settlement and suddenly I see a 45$ which they claim as the cleaning charges.

And they have the nerve to say that even though everything is fine with the accomodation and charges during the stay, they still reserve the right to charge the guest credit card after 2 months.
Which begs the question
Do they really leave the room in the same state after a week or two after the guest has checked out

I would not recommend this hotel at all

I had a 2 month stay here for business purposes. It was OK, but not really a 4 star property. Room maintenance was a problem with broken fixtures, furniture falling apart, and general shoddy quality throughout.

Internet access was a very bad value: $27 / day, and you only get 100MB of data transfer. After that, it's $0.10 / MB. I ended up paying $40-50 / day for Internet access and I hardly used it at all. It was covered by my company as a business expense, but it was still a terrible price and I would have been furious had I been paying out of my own pocket.

The location is OK, but a little far away from the action. My room faced directly into an office so I had to keep the window shades closed most of the time.

Oaks Trafalgar is an ideal business traveler's short term accommodation with all the basic amenities taken care of. It close to most of the business locations and walkable to most of Sydney's attractions !

Have just returned from a 3 + week stay at the Oaks Trafalgar in Sydney and found it to be the ideal base for a trip to Sydney.
The apartment location is just round the corner from Darling harbour and a short walk to all the sights of importance in Sydney.
The staff at the apartment were very helpful and friendly, nothing was to much trouble.
the apartments(one bedroom) were of a high quality, a home from home with all the facilities you would need to make your holiday as hassell free as possible.
My only gripe would be that if a long term guest( over 7 days) bed and towel change + cleaning were once a week, however fresh towels and bedding were provided on request.
I also found the rates per week and car parking rates exceptional for a city centre apartment and i would most certainly stay at these apartment again.
