The only thing that would stop me using this serviced apartment more is that it's very difficult to get cell phone signal in certain rooms. And so Internet access is limited as well.

The location is close to some terrific restaurants and coffee shops, and very close to the airport. The Meriton chain of serviced apartments have got their act together and the rooms are well equipped and reasonably priced.

Street parking is difficult but there's undercover parking which is extra cost but your car is safe. The rooms are quiet and there are good take away restaurants nearby too.

As I say, the cellphone signal deficit is the only downside.

When checking in I wanted to put my $100 bond down in cash and the lady seemed very hesitant to do so and then came up with every reason so I had to give my credit card details.

Nearly 2 weeks after I left I still didn't get my bond back but instead an invoice charging me $100 for carpet cleaning which they debited from my credit card. I was only awake in the hotel for a maximum of 2 hours during my stay and when I spoke to management they proceeded to tell me there were stains on the carpet and I signed over authority for them to charge me if anything was left unsatisfactory. They sent me pics but I had nothing in the room even of the same colour as a mini little mark that looks like it could have been wiped off with a cloth.

The pictures did not prove it was me, the apartment I stayed in or even their hotel for that matter they could have been taken anywhere and I know truthfully that I did not leave the hotel room in any condition other than exactly the way I entered it in. Please just beware.

Great location nice room big spacious clean great tv close to transport shops great price one bedroom apartment upstairs and down. Excellent kitchen. Highly recommended...

We enjoyed our stay.... Reception was warm and welcoming, and a couple of small problems (with air conditioning and bathroom) were fixed without fuss while we were out in the morning. Perhaps greater attention could be paid to the "How to" section of the guest compendium. Although we were travelling light, we still had a big impact on the bedroom, which seemed somewhat small for a king-sized bed and our luggage. Closet/wardrobe space was excellent, however. We were afraid of noise levels, based on others' comments and the fact that we were close to a swimming pool which seemed to attract drunken youngsters; however, they were gone before 11pm and there was nothing to interrupt our sleep. The fit out seemed adequate if unremarkable, as long as there aren't more than four of you wanting a glass of wine/cup of coffee etc at once. Location is excellent when you know where you are! In fact, you are in a block which is a very small part of an area occupied by similar blocks with permanent residents, so that there is a good supermarket (Coles) about 100 metres along the road, and a variety of shops including a newsagent which sells bus tickets - the Sydney bus system is remarkably simple and inexpensive. Outside the newsagent - more or less - is the bus stop where buses on four lines will take you into the city. If one fancies some exercise, it is only a ten minute walk to Surry Hills, one of Sydney's prime shopping and restaurant areas.
