Nothing physically wrong with these serviced apartments. Although a little tired, the size and comfort of my two-bedroomed flat was more than adequate for two couples and small toddler. Kitchen was excellent and utility room worked well. Beds were comfortable and the position on top of the Bondi Junction bus and rail station and adjacent to the lovely Bondi Junction shopping mall was just ideal for my visit of almost two weeks. However, don't be fooled by the title 'serviced apartments' as there was little service to speak of! Apparently, my very good room rate did not qualify me for any more than once-a week service and this was really disappointing. Other complaints were a very poor air conditioning system that was programmed to only remain on for four hours at a time - clearly aimed as a cost-cutting exercise. This meant that if you went to bed at 11pm, you would wake feeling hot and sticky by 4am after the system had shut down and would be forced to get up, go to the lounge, and restart the system for another four hours. This smacks of penny pinching and is no advert for this property. There were other problems over the tough New Year weekend when the hotel is fully booked. Lifts were erratic and often out of order making it a long & crowded ordeal to simply get out of the building and there were times when the very expensive parking ($20 per night) was not available. Parking was also very cramped so beware if you have a car and you don't enjoy maneuvering in tight spaces! There is Internet access but at rip-off prices so get yourself a Vodafone broadband deal for one-third of what the hotel charges! This is the type of property that seems to enjoy such a good location that some attention to detail in management seems to be overlooked as it is constantly full with guests. It is though a perfectly adequate apartment complex with access to all of Sydney literally at your doorstep but it really needs refreshed management & a little less penny-pinching. It should be renamed the "Meriton partially-serviced apartments'!
Room Tip: Poor lieft service can mean long waits so a lower floor might be better for this.

Thanks for your review - Sorry to read we didn’t meet your expectations.
We have just undergone a full refurbishment in March 2012 - so all our 2 & 3 bedroom apartments have brand new furniture.
We opened in 2000 so this update has really enhanced the look & feel and we hope that you may be able to come back and see for yourself what a great place it is now.
