goh where do i start! we arrive at sydney international airport at 8.30am rang the shuttle at 9.15am shuttle arrived at 11am just when i thought we were heading straight to the hostel we were dropping and picking up people in different areas and we even stop to get petrol not a great service if you have a schedule to keep well we checked in on the 17th Sept and sorry i cant remember your name but he was black and was working in reception had no idea what he was doing room werent ready then had the wrong room, creditcard machine wasn;t working had to find a shop with atm got the money then went back to hostel black guy says he need another $40 deposit i said i was not informed this and was not stated in any of the emails hostel sent me I had email and booked rooms 2 months in advance they were well aware i had a family, our rooms were up 3 flights of stairs where we had to luge all our gear, stroller, carseat and baby up no lift. the hostel smelled like smoke and plain dirty, my husband cut his foot on the rooftop where someone had broken their glass we cleaned the glass up so no one else would cut themselves, hostel had no first aid kit and only had paper towel and cellotape, cockroaches in both rooms we rented, fridge in room 14 didn't go, mens toilets where dam right filthy I would rather sleep on the street that stay in this hostel again HIGHLY NOT RECCOMMENDED

Hostel is terrible, run down, falling apart, disgusting an infested with cockroaches and bed bugs. The English girl on reception was really friendly and helpful and couldn't apologise enough for the state of the hostel but could never contact the management as the the contact is remote by skype. What kind of a manager is not present at thier own business????. Also there are signs everywhere saying the rooms will be cleaned on Fridays but never are. The management doesn't seem to care and is never present, so all complaints are aimed at the staff who cannot fix the bug problems, the constructional problems (when it rains outside, it rains inside) and does not over see the cleaning as it is poor. Also the website lies when it states there is a computer room as it does not exist and the free wi-fi is so poor you have to sit on the floor in the hallway to use it. THE MANAGEMENT OR LACK OF IS THE BIGGEST PROBLEM WITH THIS HOSTEL!!!!! BAD HOSTEL WORSE MANAGEMENT!!!!!!!!

Booked initially for 3 nights stay while visiting Sydney, this meant we were intitled to a free shuttle service to the hostel. We rang ahead to say when we would be arriving at the airport and were told to phone back when we landed. After waiting over an hour for the shuttle bus to arrive they only had space for 1 person, not wanting to wait the couple more hours for the next one we opted for a taxi.
On reaching the hostel we checked in and found our room was a dingy little space in the back corner of the hostel. The bed was 2 mattresses piled up with no proper sheets and a very dirty looking blanket. The paint was peeling off the walls and there were gaps where previous pictures had been pained around. There were 2 TVs but neither appeared to work. The' well lit' room had very poor lighting and the bathroom window was tiled over. The toilet was a communal facility where there were signs warning about taking 4 minute showers to conserve water but both the sink and bath taps were constantly leaking, the toilet room do also did not lock.
We stayed only the 1 night as we had arrived so late and checked out first thing the next morning. We were told no refund could be given as it was less than 3 days notice.
Definately recommend avoiding this place like the plague!!!!!

Service is terrible! I made a booking over the phone and all my details, including credit card details were taken down. I requested a carpark and they guaranteed I would have one. The dull American voice on the end of the voice said he would email me a confirmation stating I had a room and carpark.

A couple of days later and no email has been received, so I give them a call and find out they do not have a booking for me! Great! Where else am I going to find a room at such short notice! He said he can book me into a room but there are no carparks available now. Screw them! If this is what their service is like over the phone then I would hate to think how they treat you once they have your money!

My recommendation...go elsewhere!
