Would not recommend to stay here. The room was very dirty and we found 3 alive coackroachs within 2 hours in our room and 1 dead coackroach in the carpet near the bed. Mould in the bathroom.
But staff friendly, good location and room quiet.

Good: 1) Location, it is very close to Darling Harbour but at the same time it is in a quiet neighborhood with almost no noise 2)Price
Bad: 1)Rooms were dirty 2)The rooms are in an urgent need of restoration, the carpets are old and dirty, the walls had marks on it, the bathroom is extremelly old and outdated.
Another issue we had was that the elevator broke on our second day and there was a sign to use the stairs. As we went throught the stairs we could not get out in the reception floor because it was locked. As a result we stayed several minutes locked in the stairs until someone came to "rescue" us, it was very unorganized.
The final issue we had was that my husband asked for directions to get to a tourist attraction in the reception and the staff gave us wrong directions, luckily we found this out before getting there.
Would not recommend this Hotel specially because of dirtiness and outdated bathroom and room.

Had the pleasure to stay here for 2 nights in Dec. Might be a little challenging to get to on own, I took a shuttle. Found it extremely central to many of the Sydney offerings like Aquarium, Imax, HRC to name a few.

The hotel is simple, spacious rooms and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The rooms however were a bit dated and I personally think they needed to be refurbished.

The price was right for central Sydney and I feel that this was their main strength. Also I consider them to be in a safe area. Would come again.

Good location - no noise, a short walk to central station and broadway bus stops, comfortable beds. On the down side, for older less active people - a bit of a walk to public transport. Few Australian eateries close by. We had a major problem with the supply of hot water for bathing. we stayed 3 nights - i reported this on the first morning of our stay; problem was supposedly rectified; no change, reported again - yet to see the outcome. After the second report i was told that there must have been a problem that morning with the whole hotel and yet no one else had reported the problem. Was not given any alternative or recompense. Was then advised that i should just wait 10 mins as it was probably because everyone was trying to have a shower at the same time . . . three different times of the day. Room was dirty - not vacummed properly with chocolate wrappers, medication and paper from previous guests in the room, mould in the grouting in the shower and dusty screen door.
