I stayed with my sister and mum for one night at the Blue Taj Hotel. We stayed in a King suite loft. It was a great size. There is a toilet downstairs and a bathroom upstairs. The bed is really comfortable. The decor is modern and cosy. They had little things like an ipod docking station, iron (with a proper iron), chocolates by our bed. Which were nice touches. The valet parking was $40, but definitely worth it. It made life convenient as we were able to just drive to the front of the hotel and hand over our keys. It was also great as the next day we just left the car there and went shopping. The valet got the car for us later and they also held our bags for the day. So saved us trying to park in the city the next day.
The service was five star. Anything we wanted was not too much trouble. They have a 24/7 button on the phone to call. We had room service in the morning. We ordered and had our food in 15 minutes which was very impressive. The food was lovely. Check out the bar down stairs as well. I will definitely stay here in the future. My new fave in Sydney.

Blue sydney is a great hotel, well located, with friendly and helpful service staff. The interior design of the hotel is interesting and unique and the facilities, with pool and gym are quite good. I did find the gym a little small, but similar to many that i have seen before. The service staff were really what set this hotel apart, they were eager to please and went out of their way a number of times to assist us as tourists in melbourne. I'd recommend staying here if you have the chance.

I stayed in Blue for three nights and enjoyed the experience a great deal. The hotel itself occupies a unique wooden building (originally a cargo handling facility) at the wharf of Wooloomooloo.

The rooms are uniquely designed to a very high standard and are well equipped (as you would expect from a 5 star hotel). The true beauty of the hotel is that they maintain 5 star standards in a beautifuly designed setting with staff who are very approachable and down to earth..

Pricing-wise, this is not an expensive hotel given the location and the standard of the service provided and I would strongly recommend this hotel for both business and personal trips.

Excellent attention to detail in their room appointments and housekeeping, and a wonderful use of space. The beds and pillows are ridiculously comfortable, so it was easy to get a really great night's sleep here. The bar is quite low key these days, and the hotel is in a fairly quiet part of town, so expect your nightlife to be at least a 15-20 minute walk away. It's right next to the Botanical Gardens and the Boy Charleton Pool so a great choice for people who like to be active when they travel. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Overall a great experience as a business hotel.
