“Top location”

Been here many times and am always happy - right in the heart of the city and just minutes from the Mall, restaurants, shopping and a short walk to the ferry terminal

The hotel like most Westins is very stylish and contemporary and very well designed.
Within the hotel, my choice of rooms depends on both mood and what my stay revolves around.
The Tower perhaps is more modern and better if you intend to spend time in the Club Lounge - just a few seconds in the lift and you can relax in the Lounge with a wonderful view of most of Sydney.
If though you prefer a sense of history and want to spend any time in the swimming pool, it is probably easier to choose a room in the historical wing.
These rooms are a little larger with a high ceiling but even better, makes the trip to the pool a little easier.
Anyone who has ever been to the swimming pool will know what I mean - there are times when I think it would have been easier to trek Mount Everest.

“Impeccable”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 February 2012

We stayed 3 nights. The hotel was fabulous. CBD location was central, albeit quiet at night, but provided easy access to all sights. Great gym too!

“Westin Sydney is Superb !!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 February 2012

We stayed at the Westin Sydney for three nights and loved every minute. From the time we arrived, all the hotel staff were friendly and accomodating. Ron the Concierge was absolutely fabulous and helped us secure dinner and tour reservations all of which were spot on. The hotel interior was beautiful and spotless. Our room was beautiful - natural wood and glass for a nice open feel - and very quite - we loved it. The hotel is located within walking distance of the harbor, quays, SOH, botanical garden, and also near CBD shopping. We would definitely stay here if we return to Sydney. You will not be disappointed.

“Love it. Top location in Sydney”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 February 2012

I was fortunate enough to stay here a few times and the hotel is just beautiful. It has a nice atmosphere, the rooms have a decent size and they have a proper gym. Like with any hotel in Australia, give the food a miss. It is just stupidly overpriced.

Room Tip: Try to get a room in the historic wing.

“Seamless, elegant and stylish”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 February 2012

We stayed at the Sydney Westin for 4 nights in Oct 2011. The location is fantastic, centre of the city, valet parking was easy and check-in was quite quick. The hotel staff are unobtrusive, but always on hand to assist if needed. We needed some things from our car on a few occasions and they were delivered to the room in minutes.

We stayed in the heritage part of the hotel and had a room facing inward to the large covered courtyard. The room was large, with a separate lobby area with the bathroom off to one side and a small walk-in robe on the other. The bath was fantastically oversize and there was a large walk-in rain shower. Toiletries were high end. The main room was large with 3 Georgian style large arched windows. The bed was heavenly.

The old stairway in this hotel was a location in the movie The Matrix, and makes a great photo location.

This hotel is in walking distance from may of Sydney's attractions - the Rocks, the Opera House, Art Gallery, Circular Quay and the CBD shopping district.

I searched around for prices before booking through the hotel's own site - it had the cheapest rates.

A couple of tips, the restaurants under the hotel are overpriced (we ate at two, maybe the others are better?). Internet connection in your room costs extra which is a bit strange for a classy hotel, however we picked up the free wi-fi from the Lobby from our inward facing room .
