“Excellent Location”

Spent just one night in a 1bdrm apartment, the kitchen was adequate for what you needed, a nice large lounge room and seperate bedroom. I loved the old fireplaces, just gave it so much character. You cannot beat the location, a couple of minutes walk to Circular Quay and well as restaurants/bars. Its not a bad walk to Darling Harbour.
We found the hotel very quiet and one of the few hotels in Sydney not affected by street noise. Lovely pool and spa area for a quick dip!

“Enjoyed our stay”

Good location, very helpful staff who checked in our flights on line for us and printed boarding passes. Very good pricing policy on the mini-bar and the room was more than the typical anonymous type you get at some of the larger chains. Would have liked a bar to visit when we got back at the end of the evening for a nightcap and chat with other guests.

“Great location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2012

Stayed at this hotel for 5 weeks due to my husbands working commitments. The location was excellent walking distance to most of the main attractions, restaurants and public transport.
The hotel staff were extremely friendly, helpful and would do anything possible to make your stay a comfortable enjoyable one. I found the beds and pillows very comfortable which was a blessing considering the amount of time we spent there. Our room had a kitchenette, dinning suite and desk. Although not many kitchen utensils we got away with what was there. The only downfall I would say was the toaster which wouldn't switch itself off. The other thing i really liked about the room was once inside how quiet it was, no hearing the people next doors tv or talking made it feel more private. The pool is heated and there is also a spa and sauna. There is also a fully equipped gym. I have found the laundry to be very handy and inexpensive. I have stayed at other more plush hotels at the rocks but for customer service, value for money and the location this is the hotel that I would return to.

“Convenient but ordinary in the Rocks”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 February 2012

The Rocks is a great spot from which to explore Sydney. Close to Circular Quay and great transport options, the Opera House, brilliant restaurants, gallery, business, friends or whatever. In the big city, the Rocks has that intimatevillage feel and the Rendezvous is right in the middle. The location is brilliant, rooms are just bigger than small and adequate without being chic or fashionable. The kitchenette is basic but useful, but overall the rooms are just a bit jaded and could do with a thorough rejuvenation. The general hotel facilities are best described as mediocre. But at least you can escape into the Rocks. We had a nice special price which made the lack of swish and class bearable. If you are going to the Rocks, look for the specials, since the rest of the hotels near here are inordinately expensive.

Room Tip: A good option if you can get onto some good special deals.

“Great harbour views if you get a 1 bed apartment on 6th floor”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 January 2012

Stayed one night at this hotel in January 2012. Wanted to have a full harbour view room and got what I wanted. I paid £250GBP for a one bedroom harbour view apartment and I would say it done what it said on the tin. The room was clean, spacious and the views were amazing. Harbour bridge on the left of the balcony and opera house straight ahead. The balcony was huge and had 2 sun loungers and a table and chairs to enjoy the view. I was fortunate enough to get a small fireworks display happen the night I was there which made the night complete. It is in a great location in the Rocks, easy to get to from circular quay..even walking with luggage, a small uphill walk but nothing bad. The door is kind of concealed but still easy enough to find. I didn't have breakfast included and hadn't planned on eating in the hotel, however, in the morning it was pouring with rain so decided to use the buffet breakfast, at $24aud it was not worth the money, very basic cooked food, toast, banana bread, fruit and cereal. If you book the night before it is cheaper but not much. The reception staff were very pleasant and helpful. I only wish I had been able to get use of the pool facilities but the weather is not in the hands of the hotel staff haha....if ur looking for harbour views, outdoor pool, handy for the rocks and circular quay then this is a great hotel.

Room Tip: Go for the 1 bedroom apartments with harbour view ...otherwise this is just an average hotel!
