We chose this hotel because we were attending a party nearby and did not want to drive home that evening. The hotel itself was okay. The lobby was very small but rooms were relatively spacious and clean. The room also had a little kitchen which could come in handy for longer stays.

The thing that annoyed us was the 10am check out time. When we booked online, the booking site said check out was 11am. In the room itself, there was some information about the property which said check out was midday. However, when we returned to our room late in the evening we received a note saying that check out was 10am! This is the earliest check out time I've ever seen and we would not have chosen this property if we had known this in advance. We called reception to ask for a late check out but were told no and the receptionist was very unhelpful and just kept stating, like a machine, "check out is 10am, these are our rules". However, upon our request, the manager did call us back and was very polite and offered us a later check out due to the mistake on the booking site. This is a large hotel and they should be able to manage the flow of rooms to at least allow a 11am check out. The manager said 10am was normal practice in Australia but this was not our experience at other hotels.

We were a family that stayed in a studio room and a 2 br apartment. I wouldn't really classify this property as a "resort" as there is no pool, no in house restaurant (just a takeaway cafe on the ground floor), no activities to do on site, no luxuries. It is just basically an apartment with a small front desk. Location is excellent however as it is walking distance to some cheap eats, a station, a shopping centre and to darling harbour.

1 BR apartment was good. Bed was comfortable. Kitchen and bathroom were both clean and a decent size. Sound travels through the door and walls so everytime someone gets out of the elevator or enters their room - you will hear it.

2 BR apartment was small, the ceiling is lower than the rest of the property that you can almost touch it. It looks like they tried to cram a few unnecessary things in but at the expense of being able to move around. Balcony only juts out about half a metre so not really worth having - better to have extended the dining room (as it only seats 2). Kitchen,living,dining area and passage between rooms is basically one area so if you need to move around, you will have to jump over the lounge or stay in the bedroom until a path is clear. Having said that, both bedrooms have an ensuite and one even has a spa.

Do check your bedsheets thoroughly when you check in as we had found a big blood stain on one of the beds. YUCK!

The 1 bedroom apartments are a good size for a family and well equiped. The sofa beds are a little uncomfortable though.
Easy location to get around Sydney, Chinatown and Darling Harbor. Close to World Square. There are lots of dining options.
The free tourist bus is very close and an easy way to get down to Circular Quay.

We found the hotel to be a perfect location to explore Sydney as good transport links nearby and only a 10 minute walk from Darling Harbour. A tiny reception that looked more like a Youth Hostel and the beige and grey corridors with big metal doors reminded my husband and I of "prisoner in cell block H" but once in the rooms they were fine. Experienced a few problems with the lifts breaking down during the stay and it was a bit hit and miss whether the lift accepted your room card to activate it. Other than that the staff were very friendly and helpful. Wi fi was available in the room at a cost BUT THEY OFFER free Wi Fi in the cafe downstairs it is just not well advertised in the hote rooms.
