We spent Monday Feb 13 and Tuesday Feb 14 at this hotel.
Grand Hotel to say the least.
The canapés and drinks served at the Executive lounge on floor 21 were 1st class. Great selection of wines and beers. Oysters Kilpatrick , Oysters plain ,Smoked Salmon , Crispy bread rolls etc etc served between 05.30 and 07.30 in the evenings.
The rooms are large and very well appointed. The aircon is quiet. There was no door slamming or at least we did not hear any and we usually do. Fantastic friendly staff. Spotlessly clean. Excellent service all round.
A friendly hint. Walk out the front doors of the hotel on Elizabeth Street , turn right , 100 meters down the footpath is a small restaurant with little French tables and chairs outside as well as seating inside. Its named Bambini Wine Room but is much more than a wine room.
Great wine selection, fabulous cocktails, I ordered grilled whole fish which was honestly as good as I have ever had. Cooked to perfection and rolled in slithers of almonds. The waitress was from Toronto Canada. She deserves a mention. Happy, informative and nothing was too much trouble for her. The only problem with this restaurant is that I now have to go back again, which means yet another few days in wonderful Sydney Town.
