Had a four night stay in January 2012, two adjoining rooms for the family. Rooms well appointed and spacious which was good with the 2 kids. Swimming pool and spa upstairs and location was great.

Breakfast downstairs was chaotic, we kept getting a table right next to the food and very busy.

And they really struggled making a half decent coffee.

I stayed at Sheraton On The Park, Sydney for 1 night in February 2011 in order to attend a conference with my partner. We were checked in by Sayeh and offered an upgrade to the Executive Club for $50.00 which included canapes and drinks in the afternoon as well as breakfast in the morning. Our room package already included breakfast and we had prior arrangements in the evening so did not take up the offer. Check in was completed efficiently without any issues and Sayeh was able to secure a booking for us at the best available rate in April when we're returning.

Our room was located on the top floor (level 21) and was a City View room with a view of Castlereagh Street. The room was large for Sydney standards with a full bathroom featuring a separate shower and bathtub with large mirrors, marble floors and beautiful artwork.

The staff were professional, courteous and up to 5 star hotel standards which was a welcome surprise and a significant improvement from prior stays at this hotel.

The bar on level 1 serves beautiful food and a wide selection of cocktails, beer and wine. The bar boasts views of Hyde Park making it an ideal place to unwind after a day at work.

I have grown up in Sydney and spent many nights at this and other similar hotels in the city. I was pleasantly surprised at the difference in the attitude of staff and would absolutely recommend this hotel to anybody wishing the stay either for business or leisure purposes.

I can only ever say great things about this hotel......we live 1 hour from Sydney but when we decide to stay an evening or two in the city for an event or simply a treat, I always end up booking Sheraton on the Park.....mainly because their breakfast is a treat for the taste buds but I always know I'll never walk away disappointed.

My husband & I stayed Christmas Eve 2011, we booked directly through their website & got a reasonable package deal on a room overlooking Hyde Park, which I highly recommended you pay a little extra for.

Check in was easy & quick this time, although from reading other reviews & experiencing this myself on occasions it can sometimes be a little slow. I asked for a room that could allow natural air in & was graciously appointed a room with a balcony, which we deeply appreciated. The views were beautiful of the park & the cathedral.

The hotels location is in my opinion one of the best due to its proximity to everything you need & want.....unless you want to pay double & stay in circular quay & have water views.

All in all the Sheraton isn't a flashy, hip hotel (which I do enjoy on occasions) rather it's understated elegance, feeling of good old fashioned grandeur & old word.y atmosphere just makes for a great place to stay in my opinion. It never lets me down.

One of Sydney's better upmarket hotels - warm and inviting with good staff. Good rates available at certain times and while on the expensive side the food is great. Rooms are also big and light and you're right in the centre of Sydney.
