I arrived very late on a Friday night. My plane was late, I was tired and the traffic around Mascot chaos. I booked in approximately 11.45 pm and as I had not dined, I asked the gentleman at the front desk about room service. He confirmed availability, but advised at this hour of night it was very limited. He was able to recommend a restaurant who would deliver and I was appreciative of the advice as the food was excellent.
One downside was learning it would cost $35.00 to park my car. Despite being an Accor Advantage Plus Member i had no prior knowledge of this charge, but in view of the hour and the fact I was exhausted agreed to the charge. After arriving in my room I cursed the fact that I had left my phone in the car which by now had been taken to an offsite car park. Imagine my surprise when the duty manager knocked on my door to give me my phone which he had noticed in the car.
The second disappointment was the room itself. It was very, very small and uninviting. I had stayed at this hotel before, but this was by far the worst room I had stayed in. I was very disappointed at this but again because of the hour, I was too tired to complain.
