This is truely the worst hotel I have ever seen, No bar No restaurant. (faulse advertising) I have stayed in hotels all over the world and Australia and this place is nothing other than filthy. The bathroom OMG.

Anyway, you get the picture. I stayed 15min.

I believe that positive opinions about this place can be added only by the owner of l'otel. There is no posibility that someone could possibly like staying at this place!!! It was dirty and disgusting. Fangus in bathroom. Dirty sheets-we had to ask the receptionist to change it. When he saw it, he took us to another "bigger" room. The "bigger" room was 0,5m2 bigger from the first one. Walls looked like painted by drunk person. Air conditioning was working just in one hour mode: after one hour it was turning off. There was no window, which we could open to breathe... This place should be shut!

Before I went a friend passed comment about staying at L'Otel. She said that it was where the drug dealers hang out and the rooms are rented by the hour. When we arrived the asian guy that owns it was so rude and lead us down the road and across a carpark where our bags would not roll. He was too fat to carry the bags and threw the key at us and told us the room was at the top of the stairs. The photos are misleading they were taken years ago in fact the paint was peeling off with dirt and marks on the wall. I would be happy to take this guy to the cleaners for misleading advertising. He was rude and clearly could get the room rented by the hour after we left for a better hotel. The people at Quest in Potts point are lovely and the hotel is great. It is not much more in terms of cost.

This was the worst experience i've ever had! I've travelled the world and stayed at some run down hostels, i'm by no means a fussy person; my friend and i lasted 15 minutes before we left this hell hole! Please note, i have never written a review before, but i feel that i owe it to my fellow travellers...
Firstly, we were walked out of the hotel reception (a hallway) through a vacant lot over a metal chain (we weren't offered any help with our bags) and into what felt like a brothel on back side of the first entrance. We weren't even walked up to our room, just handed a key and told to leave it in the room upon checkout.
The room was tiny with a view of a brick wall and dirty ally. The room smelt musky and like cigarette smoke. There were dirty tissues and a condom wrapper under the bed and cigarette stains on the bed frame. I doubt the bed sheets had been changed before we were there. There was no ironing board but they offered tea and coffee (as if i would drink out of the cups). There was a flood light above the bed that was probably suppose to add to the "boutique-ness" of the place - it felt like a place you would shoot a personal 'home video' if you get my drift.
I didn't want to touch anything in the place - the room had a horrible vibe - felt like some horrible weird things take place there. I complained to wotif and the lovely guy i spoke to arranged another hotel for us and managed to at least convince the owner of L'otel to refund us for the second night - i happily paid an extra $180 to stay at a decent place in the city, the Grace Hotel (great hotel). Seriously, L'otel is disgusting! Don't do it to yourself.
