I stayed at this hotel for a girls night out in the city. The room was large with a view of the city and perfectly located to restaurants and bars in Oxford Street.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating.

Would definitely recommend for a reasonably priced city stay.

Property is very old and is seriously overdue for an upgrade in every area. Whilst in a good location, the overall staff attitude in every department mirrors the poor standard of the hotel. Housekeeping services were bad and staff could not even make a bed properly. 2 cups left in the sink were still there after room was cleaned. Broken tiles in bathroom, unaccepatable mould build up on rim of hand basin, very old furniture, cobwebs, dirty doors and windows are a feature of this hotel. Electronic door keys failed and no apology from the staff or explanation when we asked why? TV is installed on an angle, there was no remote for the TV so you need to get out of bed to turn. The remote for the set top box had the backing off. Only 3 TV Channel worked. Air conditioner control is set at 18 and cannot be adjusted up or down but at least air con did work but was very noisy.
Overall, very disappointed with this hotel and will definitely not stay he again. There are so many more choices in Sydney to consider next time.

We had a very nice room over looking the park, it came with all the normal features etc. Clean & tidy, our only fault with the room was the tv didn't pick up any channels, it wasn't a problem as we were out most of the time but would have been very annoying.
Our only real problem was the front desk, took 20-30 minutes to check in as they couldn't work the system to retrieve online bookings, the EPOS machine wasn't working (this didn't stop them from trying for about 7-8 times) and generally was a slow service. What made it worse was a senior member of staff floating around in the back office doing nothing.

We stayed in a studio apartment for 6 days, Location is excellent,within walking distance to most of Sydney attractions, tens of restaurants in Oxford street which is around the corner,close to the train station. Our room had hyde park view which was very nice. Room and all the equipments inside were pretty old and in need of renovation, there is parking available in a basement garage which costs 25AUD/night, room price itself was very reasonable for such a great location.
I booked the room at www.accommodationsydney.com.au/ , we were welcomed by Inna (the manager) who was very helpful and friendly, she spent time telling us about the nearby shops,restaurants, where to buy tickets etc.which was very useful.
If you don't mind slightly old rooms and building then this is a great place to stay in Sydney.
