In mid-January, my husband & I stayed for 5 nights at the Four Seasons Sydney. It was our first trip to Sydney. I had made the reservation several months ahead of time and became alarmed when right before we were about to leave I read several negative Trip Advisor reviews. Well as they say in Australia, "no worries." We were met at the airport by a prearranged car and whisked off to the hotel. When we arrived, we were welcomed carside and escorted to our room, where we were checked in (i.e. no lines; no waiting). A few minutes later our luggage arrived at our door. Could this be any easier? Given we had just traveled from Chicago, the timing for this level if service was perfect and totally delighted us.
We had booked a deluxe king room with a full harbor view. Maybe it was smaller than some of their other properties but it certainly was ample space, with a roomy bath and very nicely appointed overall. Remember, this is an older building in center city. Whatever the room may have lacked in size was made up for with the unbelievable location of this property. Both the ferry piers and 'The Rocks' area are right out the front door. For us that made it very easy to get around the city and offered great evening options for dining and browsing.
The highlight of the room, however was the view. We were on the 32nd floor. Our view spanned Sydney harbor from the Harbor bridge to the Opera House. It was spectacular! Waking up each morning to see the Opera House and know you really are in Sydney - priceless.
Four Seasons, you did it again. Thank you for 5 perfect days!
