I can't believe that this is an Accor hotel! I booked a superior room and my poor colleague booked a standard - they were sub standard and certainly NOt superior! Although the manager was helpful and tried to find us something better, the overall stand of the hotel was such that this was impossible - slightly larger room but smallest TV in the world, shabbily appointed and depressing corridors - all this in a week where Sydney is booked out - depressing! Never again.

Please accept my sincerest apologies with regards to your recent stay.
Our goal at The Menzies Sydney has always been to consistently provide superior products and services at the hotel. Any feedback we receive from our valued guests enables us to target problem areas where we can make improvements to our facilities.
With regards to the rooms, the hotel is one of the most historic in Sydney and as such there are some aspects that reflect this heritage. A room refurbishment is in our capital expenditure plans which will result in a substantial improvement to our products.
