We chanced upon this hotel for its competitive rates as compared to other hotels in the Sydney CBD.
W had a very pleasant and comfortable stay, and we loved the fact that the hotel is strategically located just at the tip outside the city, giving us the peace and quietness we need for a good night's rest.
The room was a little small, and the twin beds were really small. But nevertheless, we still managed to catch a restful sleep every night. The rooms had really big windows, literally from the ceiling to the floor. We had to keep our blinds down as we could look into other guest rooms from our window, and in full view seeing what the guests were doing. And because the rooms were surrounded by plants and trees, we found traces of ants coming into our room and on to our luggages. Also, because the rooms were fairly small, we had to lock/keep our luggages in a standing upright position everytime we're done using them. Just to avoid an accidental trip and a fall! Just a note though, the rooms had PAPER-THIN walls.
The shared toilets were cleaned, but now that i know, i'll spend a bit more to get a ensuite toilet in my room. there's more privacy and you wouldn't need to queue for the toilets and showers.
On our second night, we were awaken by a smoke alarm trigger, with all guests of the hotel evacuating early in the morning due to an inconsiderate guest who smoked in the room. but within 30-45minutes, we were allowed back to our rooms. However, no updates/compensation/apology were instructed nor given to us by the hotel staff. When I asked, she mentioned it was a guest who smoked in the room, but everything is okay now. And that was it.
It was definitely an interesting stay despite the drama that happened.
