“Mostly pretty good”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 February 2012

Service at the counter was friendly and efficient throughout our stay.

Agree with prior reviews in that the carpet was heavily stained and really needs updating. We had a 2 bedroom appartment and was of good size and had some very good appliances to go with it. The kitchen was large with smeg ovens and dishwasher and well designed and set out.

Bathrooms were large and recently updated with painting of feature wall (though the painting not all that professional) and everything worked fine. There is a good size balcony to sit on and living area furnished well and spacious.

These rooms easily accomodate a family of 4 (if 2 kids dont mind sharing same room with single bed each) and would be ok for extended stay. This is a step up from where we are normally housed (Capital executive appartments) especially the size of the rooms and facilities.

Problem I had was the traffic noise from 4.00am to 6.00 was very loud. If you are a light sleeper like myself then you will struggle to sleep with the traffic noise and noise from Maccas below throughout the night. If you have no problem sleeping then you will enjoy your stay...

Location (apart from the traffic noise) was fine and a short walk to cities main areas.. Overall a pretty good place to stay..

“Not recommended”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 January 2012

When we checked into our room we found the carpet old, worn and stained. I opened the mini bar and found a leaking beer and 2 moths. My husband opened a curtain and the whole thing came down on his head. When we called reception about this, they sent someone up with keys to another room. Although did not offer any apology or assistance to help us, only to say "its down the hall". We had just unpacked with 3 small children and this was an inconvenience. Once in our new room, the carpet, fittings etc were much superior to the previous room. On the second day of our stay, housekeeping knocked on the door to service our room and my husband asked that they come back in10minutes, when we returned to our room later in the day it had not been made up, we called reception only to be told that housekeeping "must have forgot" and they had since left for the day. My husband asked could we at least have some clean towels, and a porter was sent up with the towels.

“Great location, everything we needed.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 January 2012

After arriving with no booking, I was pleased to find a two bedroom apartment, on the quiet side of the building was available. The lobby was uninspiring, but functional. Check-in was sterile, without any warmth.
Our room was immediately above the pool, but as the weather wasn't too hot, it wasn't in constant use, so no noise problem.
The room compendium seemed to have lots of information, but it didn't include useful information like pool hours, location of nearby restaurants, or other tourist details. There were comprehensive emergency procedures, including how to get out of the room, or if necessary, how to stay in your room in the event of a fire. All good information, but a little long winded.
The room (apartment) was very comfortable for two adults and two small children. We were very impressed with the location, and the room facilities, we were less impressed with the sterile entry and no in-room visitor information.
We would stay again, if it were a special occasion, or we needed to be in the centre of town.

The two-bedroom apartments are great for a family of four adults, as there are two bedrooms (queen and two singles ) Centrally located and reasonably priced

“Great location, helpful staff but noisy at night”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 January 2012

We stayed in a one bedroom apartment (room 609) for 3 nights a few days before Christmas. I found the check in smooth and throughout the stay was impressed with the helpfulness of the front desk staff. Our spa in the room was great and the washing machine and dryer worked well. The bed seemed small to us (double?) but was quite comfortable. The apartment was clean. The location was excellent for us - right on a corner of the city centre. We had some business and some shopping to do and it was only a short walk to do this. Our main problem was the noise at night - the cars on the main road (even though we faced a side street) and the loud drunks (eating at McDonald's?). It is amusing now, not at the time, but we were woken in the wee hours one night by a person trying to make the noise of a police siren! Apart from the noise at night, we had an enjoyable stay.
