Rooms are pretty good. Bathroom is ok but is dominated by a grubby hot tub with a shower above it mounted way too low on the wall. Not many service staff but they seemed pretty good. However, the hotel has a strange layout, with an A Block connected to the Tradies club and a separate B Block. Literature refers to these blocks in telling you where amenities are but there are no signs or notations on maps identifying the blocks. Moreover, room number run seamlessly into B Block, so finding your room the first time can be a nightmare. Wifi only reaches half of A Block (and it turned out to be way too expensive to bother with). Housekeeping starts very early - before 9am - clogging halls and lifts with equipment, making noise and requiring you to put out the Do Not Disturb sign the night before if you're not leaving early. Food is provided by the club and is generally average quality but overpriced. At $158 a night there are many other options in Canberra.
