I spent 2 nights at the Corwn Plaza Canberra in early Feb - one for work and 1 for a family stop over. Overall could not fault the stay. Front office was fantastic. As a Platinum member I receved a free upgrade room, I had room service dinner one night which was very nice, and had breakfast one day - a really good range and great fruit as well as fresh omelettes. The location is first class - you can pretty much walk anywhere. Overall, highly recommended for your business or holiday.

Stayed at the hotel for two nights whilst on business. The room was of a good size and catered for all my needs. The bed was large and comfortable and had four good sized pillows 2 of which were hard whilst the other 2 were much softer so you can chop and change to suit your needs.
Behind the bed is a desk workspace which is a perfect work area. There is adequate storage in the room so you don't find yourself amongst the usual hotel clutter.
Rather than curtains to cover the large windows the room has two, wind down shades which offers privacy and total darkness at night.
The bathroom is large and is what you would expect at a Crowne Plaza, nothing spectacular, but certainly not shabby.
A few added extras are the robes and slippers that come with the room as well as a flatscreen with a number of cable channels.
I was on the 2nd floor and my room overlooked the entrance awning so if you want any sort of view go higher. The room was very quiet. The hotel is located right in the heart of the CBD and within walking distance to restaurants and shopping.
I arrived at 10am and an early check in wasn't a problem which was a nice bonus. The lobby and restaurant areas are airey and well-appointed.
All in all a great stay.

Awesome welcome, a nice room, but dinner was too expensive to even consider and I hate places that won't allow me to just have poached eggs on toast (part of my diet) but instead make you have the full buffet breakfast - what a waste of money!!

We often stay at this hotel as it is close to the Civic shops. The rooms have been refreshed recently with a modern set up. The restaurant is open plan which can make it seem a bit noisy at a busy time like breakfast, it's worth getting in early to beat the rush. The food is of a good standard and has the usual choices.Joining the Priority Club makes sense as it lowers the cost of staying. A discount is applied to all food (up to 50%) in the dining room when using the Priority Club card.Parking is under the hotel and is safe. A nice hotel.
