We thought these new serviced apartments would be a nice alternative to just another hotel room for a 2 night stay.
Boy were we mistaken.
We arrived and just dropped off our luggage before meeting relatives. On our return later that night we realized the unit was very dirty. The kitchen floor had obvious spills all over it and the bathroom floors were also very dirty.
On closer inspection, we found the microwave had bacon fat all over the turntable and interior surfaces, the fridge had bread crumb residue in the bottom and milk which had been spilt so long ago that it had dried up completely. How disgusting.
As the manager was not around that night, we reported it the next morning. His excuse was the rough tiles which had to be fixed!!!
We insisted he come and look at what we were complaining about and on inspection he agreed we had a valid complaint.
His solution was to send in the cleaners that day while we were out which was fine by us.
However, on our return to the unit that night, again after the manager had left for the day, we realized the cleaners had not been near the place!!! Pretty unimpressed by this stage.
We also could not believe how bad the beds were. They are king singles which only have normal single bedlinen and blankets so end up unmade 5 minutes after getting into bed. Also, they must have bought the cheapest mattresses on the market because the springs were almost coming through the covers. It was more comfortable to sleep on the lounge!!!
It seemed to us that we were just an inconvenience to the manager. He couldn't have cared less if he tried.
I would not recommend this accommodation to anyone.

Well. I wish I could give a fullsome and positive review of this property, but, alas, I cannot.

I booked through a well known Ausssie hotel website, and it states "Located 20 minutes south on the Tuggeranong Parkway". Ok, 20 minutes south of what? South of halfway between Canberra and Tuggeranong i would suggest.

Anyhow, the basics of this first review is that I actually never made it to the apartment.

I was a late arrival, at about 8.30 pm. Not that late really. However, the reception was locked up tight, and I had to call up to the receptionist to check in.

After 10 minutes of hanging around, he turned up. I was in no mood for small talk, I just wanted to get to my room and relax after a very long drive.

I made a small comment on how their website is a little misleading - more like 35 minutes as opposed to 20 minutes - and the guy went completely off the handle. Nothing I said was derogotory or offensive, but it was taken very personally indeed.

I was constantly trying to calm this guy down, and kept saying I just wanted my room key. The whole thing escalated and when I made further comment on his ***stinking*** attitude, he snapped. He grabbed a handful of pens, made a shreiking noise and snapped them all in half! Wow, tough guy! At this point he stated that the hotel reserves the right to refuse access to the hotel, without reason. He wasn't going to give me my room key.

I was compeltely at a loss as to what to do - past 9pm and nowhere to go. I begged to just get my key and forget our differences, but he was having none if it, and asked me to leave.

I though 'OK, enough of this, time to call in for some help. I called the police. After some time describing the situation, with this guy shouting in the background, the police turned up. All 6 of them!

There was absolutely no way I was going to make a stand and demand that I get my room by this point. It was way past that.

At the end of the day I just wanted somewhere to sleep, so after describing to the police what happened, I made tracks, spoke to my travel department and made other arrangements

I'm not exaggerating when I say this was way over the top. You may have a parfectly good experience with this place, but woe betide if you catch this guy at the wrong time of day, or in the wrong mood.
