Best possible location however as they say looks can be deceiving!!
Please do not take up this hotel or else a beautiful place called kohsamui would become a bad memory for you!
We checked in the hotel at 12 in the night- we were 4 adults and 2 kids , 3 and 8 years old. we could not find anyone at the reception. when someone came - instead of greeting and welcoming us, they gave us a host of instructions-
- full charge for breakfasts for 3 and 8 year old costing 900 bhat
- if we loose the key, we will have to pay the hotel 3000 bhats
- if we break a glass kept on the wash basin in the room- we pay them 200 bhat each glass
- anyother damage, we will bear the cost
All this happened at 12 am when our kids were clinging on to us and desperate to get some sleep!
We had taken a pool villa and reached the room and realised the AC was not working in one of our rooms. we asked the reception and they took 45 min to come and do the needful. the hotel does not have a housekeeping department.
Next morning,we realised,
- the pool was dirty, we requested for a cleaning thrice, nothing was done.
- morning breakfast, only 2 adults went for breakfast with 2 kids. the hotel still charged for the kids, we 4 breakfast for adults was included in our package. Justification given to us, its the policy of hotel! we asked to c the policy, they said they cant share with us!
- we requested for some milk creamer, to our shock, they refused to provide more than 2 refills.
Next day, the room was not cleaned till 1 pm, we requested twice for cleaning. Finally we left the key in the room and informed the reception to clean the room.
We came back and found that some cosmetics kept on the dressing table were missing. we called and reported at the reception and asked them to check with the housekeeping reception. they said they cant understand what we are talking about and told us to come to the reception. basic manners, you dont ask your guests to come to the reception, you go to their room for clarification.
We went to the reception and told them that stuff is missing from our room. to our horror, they said in broken english that "we are doing a drama".
we requested for an early check out after the entire incidence. they said they will forfeit all our money for 5 nights that we had booked the hotel for. We tried to negociate with them, but to no respite. we decided to check out and shift to baan haad, a five start property next to that.
the last thing we wanted to hear from them was when we were checking out of the hotel they told us never to return to their hotel! Apparently, a chat with the other guest sharaing similar experiences revealed that person at the front desk was " Neung" would deal with all the guest like this only.
in short, the hotel people are thieves with one simple motive of taking out money from all guest!
PLEASE DO NOT VISIT THIS HOTEL ATALL.
