We stayed for three nights and had a good experience. The hotel room is large and well equipped. The bathroom was good with a bathtub. We used room service twice and it was great. The pool was refreshing. The hotel is connected to an upscale mall and was a benefit as you could eat at different places. We ate at the hotel restaurant a la carte but not the buffet. I would definitely stay again.

We stayed in Vilahermosa for one night on our way back from Palenque. Vilahermosa is a very industrialised town and this hotel seems to cater very much for the business traveller - on arrival the hotel looked lovely with large, impressive public areas which were well air conditioned. The bedrooms are large and nicely decorated but despite everything looking good there seemed to be a general air of disorganisation about the place. We made the mistake of eating in the hotel dining room - the food was fairly terrible and the service was atrocious with the waiter being almost insolent but there didn't seem to be anyone in charge. There seemed to be a lack of management throughout the hotel.

I go to the Camino Real in Villahermosa at least once a year. The Camino Real folks have really upgraded the hotel, after it took over what was once a Holiday Inn. The hotel is very clean and is right next to a very popular mall. I look for a special rate on the Camino Real Club room rate, because you get contintental breakfast in the morning and at the end the day something to eat and drink (including wine and liqour). I have stayed in all the major hotel in Villahermosa, and this is the best.
