I have read a few of the reviews and felt that they may have been a little harsh. I went a few years ago now but I can't think things have changed. Yes this hotel dose not have mod cons and is a little run down, but this was one of my favourite holidays ever, and I have been to quite a few places. The location is fantastic and the hotel is quite, not filled with annoying all inclusive guests. Yes the food and drink is expensive and the quality isn't great but you are in Tobago tourists pay way over the odds. The pool isn't amazing but the beach is right there. We found it would be better not to use there snorkelling equipment and take your own, the masks kept leaking. However the snorkelling is probably best in Tobago and we saw some amazing fish not to mention the turtles. There was even a boat trip that took you to a private beach where we had a BBQ and got to swim with sting ray and dolphins. If that's not enough the birds are amazing and you can sit and have tea while they feed them. Just watch all the colourful birds, not to mention humming birds, gather all around you. All I can say is if your looking for great wildlife, amazing location, a quite no fighting for best sunbathing spot and aren't too worried about facilities and modern decor then go for it. We will go back some day.
