Arnos Vale resort is a very nice, calm place to stay. Very nice property with warm-hearted service personel (thanks to Brigid, Amize and Quechi) - very good dinner of local food (thanks to Marina). The private beach makes you feel like robinson crusoe. The property has a large jungle garden. In the morning, a lot of birds and colibris are all around you, very nice!
We enjoyed the place very much and once we will return!??Tobago is definitively an island to come back.

Wow....A couple of friends and myself went to the hotel to use their beach facilities. It was said that Arnos Vale is the "BEST" place to snorkel but I'm still waiting on the fishes to arrive, and to make matters worse they didn't have enough equipment to facilitate my small crew of four, two life jackets only and no life guards at all.Everything went wrong from the time we got there, besides the point where they have not enough road signs guiding anyone that wish to find this place of "BEAUTY" . I initially called to get all info on their beach facilities, I was dealt with a chap called Phillip he was most helpful and made ARNOS sound like the best place to be, but on arrival things took a turn for the worst. Staff was having an open argument using obscene right in front of guests, the swimming pool was horrid!!!! dirty and very nasty, the washrooms looked like water has not been run in months, cobweb all over the sinks,showers and ceiling, poor lighting and endless mosquitoes. I was even yelled at by the female owner of the place for parking somewhere that clearly did not have any signs about not parking. Is that costumer service??? I will never recommend this horrible place. Very run down and mismanaged. I don't even want to imagine what these rooms or any other part of this hotel look like. Totally unacceptable!!!!

We were staying in a villa and decided to visit this hotel for snorkelling and to consider staying at the hotel on a future visit. Firstly the staff in the grounds were totally inexperienced. Then we saw the swimming pool - a definate death trap. It was green and so cloudy you could not see the bottom. The water was completly still - filters not working. The toilets were a disgrace - my grandson felt it more hygenic NOT to wash his hands!! Finally the beach was full of litter.
Our view - if this is how the hotel looks after its grounds how clean is the inside and kitchens. We did not bother to find out.
Anyone thinking of staying here - do check thoroughly before booking.

Being not one to complain, I find it very difficult to say, but this 3 night experience at Arnos Vale for totally horrendous!!! The lady owner had an attitude - "I am never wrong"
Staff tried in very difficult circumstances to make good! The room has obviously been broken into and a very poor job done on the repair. Food, in short supply, due to the fact we were one couple of three staying in the whole hotel complex, was I can only compare to poor school dinners! One good thing - you would never put on weight! The whole experience was over by 8.10pm at latest - no red wine available either to help with trying to sleep. We had to resort to playing cards till boredom alone ensured you could not care if your room was broken into whilst you slept! Pictures on the brochure showed a totally different experience. Unfortunately not what was delivered.
